  • Good morning.

Been up since 7am for some reason, but it does mean I've got all animals done (except pony) and a load of washing hung out, I t's really blowy here so thought I would make the most of it. Another load is in the washer so will peg out as soon as that is done, it is supposed to rain after lunch so might need to dry off in airing cupboard on airer but I'm determined not to use the TD.

Car past it's MOT, so bill will be around £50 I think hubby said, was advised that car will need 2 new tyres soon, so have decided to use budgeted money and get those this weekend, otherwise money will get eaten up by something else and I will be scrapping around for the money.

Staying at home today which the kids seem quite happy with, I think they are both homebirds like myself and have such hectic schedules during the term time that they enjoy having lazy days in the holidays.

Tweeked meal plan last night and had curry last night as DH is out tonight and didn't want to miss out on curry, I might just give myself and kids soup for tea tonight instead of spag bol, will see how lazy I am feeling, need to bake today probably butterfly cakes and cookies.

Dug out The complete Tightwad Gazette last night havn't read the book in ages, so thought I would re-read as it always gives me that kick up the bum to get motivated with the whole saving money thing and basically being a tightwad.

Hope half term is going well for everyone, take care.x.
  • Yay to chilled out day at home Pennywise. Why oh why would you be up at 7 when your children are older!!! I really hope once my kids learn to sleep in I don't turn the opposite and start waking up early ha!!!

Yay to the car too, always a relief when it isn't costing loads of money. Good plan to get the tyres done especially with the worse weather coming. I always go to these back street places for my tyres, they about £20 a tyre cheaper. Not sure if you will have anywhere like this where you live but worth a mention.

    Have a lovely day x

  • Hi Mummy, I do tend to be an early riser, I do enjoy having that first cup of tea in silence before all h£ll breaks loose.

DH knows of a couple of back street tyre places, he's going to price up at the weekend and get it sorted.

  • Good morning.

Not much happening in the PWPS household, children had friends over yesterday to play and we have friends coming over for an hour this afternoon, need to bake some cookies as a snack for whilst they are here.

Yesterday I received £4.39 from cr0wd0logy and I also used some points from max1miles and ordered some yankee candle tarts, these are a gift for a friend for xmas, will wrap in tissue paper and pop in a pretty bag.

Eb@y items are slowly getting some bids, hopefully they will all sell, If i make £15 I will be happy. DD also has an item for sale but has no bids yet:(, she is wanting the money to put towards some new boots she has seen in new l00k.

can't believe it is Thursday already, week off nearly over but I do feel refreshed and less tired/grumpy.

    Hope everyone is ok.x.
  • 5 More items listed on eb@y, just low value items but hopefully it will all add up.

  • Good morning.

Not posted for a couple of days, seem to be running around in circles and not getting anywhere fast.

Payday has been and gone so it's been a spendy few days -
    Kids allowance - £30.
    Hair cut DS - £6.
Halloween costumes and bits - £12.30
new duvet set for DD - £10
    Clothes for DD _ £13.
    Aldi - £64
    B&M - £38:eek:
    Sains - £12
    chinese takeaway£40:o.

Past few days we seem to have had a whirlwind of visitors and kids having friends over and sleepovers and now after having a week off and back to work tomorrow I've realized I have done nothing for me, had loads of programmes I wanted to catch up on and a couple of crafty things to do :(.

Really need to start christmas shopping and still havn't written a list:mad:, need to do this so I can set a budget.

    RANT ALERT:mad:.

Having problems with tenant and think they may have to go, house apparently is filthy:eek:, walls have been drawn on :eek:, carpets filthy(these were brand new) and a whole host of other things, I'm so annoyed and upset that someone can have such little respect, I know they pay rent but that doesn't mean you can kepp a house like a s**t hole, will be speaking to agent next week.

On to brighter things, ebay sales going ok, sold a BIN overnight, only a couple of pounds but it all helps and a few items ending today, I'm going to try and put extra bits of money to one side and try and save as much as possible, in case rental house is empty for a couple of months.

    Hope everyone is ok.x.
  • Sorry to hear about tenant. Boils my pittle that someone could do that to another person's property, rent paid or not!!

Glad you've had a nice half term Xx
