Whoo hoo it's half term and I'm so ready for it :j.
Had a lie in this morning and got up at 9, then had a lazy breakfast with DH of poached eggs on toast, we sat for an hour at the table just chatting, which was really nice as usually one or both of us is rushing to be somewhere.
I then decided to tackle DD bedroom, I do not know where that child manages to accumulate so much tat from, anyway I emptied all her wardrobes, shelves, cupboards into the middle of the floor and did a major sort, nothing went back unless it was really needed, I removed a bn bag and a carrier of tat/rubbish to the bin, a bag of stuff to ebay and a bag of books went to a neighbour's little girl, this took me 3 hrs:eek:
I will ebay the items tomorrow as there is free listing this weekend.
I have had a payment of £12 from quidco that I wasn't expecting and one of the gift voucher (£5) arrived in the post, so I went through the cupboards and freezer and made a meal plan and shopping list and went to sains burys, shopping came to £24.56, so after gift card I only had to pay £19.56 in cash, would be great if every weeks shopping bill came to that amount:rotfl:, although I don't think this weeks meal plan is the healthiest, it's keeping our tummies full and I havn't had to use an evil CC, so that's the main thing.

Actually doesn't look too bad but could do with a bit more fruit and veg, I do have a few pounds left so could maybe get some more fruit if needs be, I do also have some stewed apple which I could turn into crumble.
Hope evryone is ok, better go start tea and will pop back later.x.0 -

Menu looks lovely Pennywise! Well done on spending such a low amount :T xxMummytogirls x0

Good evening, we had a lovely rst beef dinner tonight and there is enough beef left for curry and sandwiches, also made some refridgerator cookies, I love these as the dough makes around 30 biscuits, i wrap the dough in foil in a long sausage shape and it will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, I just cut off the amount of cookies we want at a time, stops them being eaten all at once.
Today has been spent doing washing and ironing managed to get 3 loads dry outside as it was really windy.
Listed 13 items on ebay, still have a few more items to list tomorrow, one item has bids already, fingers crossed they bring in a few pounds.
managed a few surveys today including a PC, so should receive a £4 payment in the next few days.
Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the weekend.x.0 -
Oohhh I've never heard of those cookies Pennywise, that sounds like such a good idea though! Might have to look up the recipe.
Well done on the washing and surveys yesterday xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi Mummy and thanks for posting.
Cookie recipe:
125g butter.
125g margarine.
140g caster sugar.
1 egg yolk.
couple drops of vanilla
300g plain flour.
cream butter/marg together with sugar add egg yolk and vanilla, beat in flour.
This gives you the basic cookie mixture, you can then add whatever flavours you want for example-
cocoa powder.
choc chips/chunks
cherries.
coconut.
chopped up mars bar/snickers.
crushed smarties/M&Ms.
chopped rolos.
peanut butter.
currants.
I also use half butter/marg, i have made them all butter but find the mixture becomes very short and crumbly.
lay the mixture on tin foil in a long sausage shape and wrap tightly put in the fridge for a least half an hour before slicing, then cut slices around cm thick and place on baking tray and bake for roughly 1o mins, the mixture keeps in the fridge for up to 2 weeks as long as you wrap it tightly.0 -
Having a quiet day at home today, car has gone in for MOT, I have my fingers crossed that it won't be stupidly expensive, won't need to pay for it until next week and I've budgeted £150, fingers very crossed.
Last DD of the month went out of account this morning and was £4 less than i budgeted for, so will pay that off Mr T card if it is still there on Thursday.
Listed a further 2 items on ebay this morning and still have a couple of items still to list. Have some bids on items that I listed yesterday.
Wondering If I should stop overpayments until after christmas and concemtrate on buy xmas presents, really should make a list for who we are buying for.
Better go and finish cleaning the porch, although I don't know why i bother, we have shoe baskets and shelves but no ever bothers using them the shoes just end up in a heap on the floor and it drives me nuts.0
