  • Thanks sweetpea, I've also noticed food prices going up.
  • Morning, don't seem to be getting much done this morning, I'm on a go slow.

I've put washing machine on and should be nearly finished, sunny day here so I'm going to hand out and try and get it dry, I'm half way through giving the kitchen a good clean, washing down cupboards and appliances.

Small things done so far, eaten breakfast from the stores, had a bagel instead of bacon and egg that I was craving, may have a bacon sandwich for lunch though, cut up 2 old t shirts of DS that were stained and will use for floor cloths/bathroom cloths. NO CH on have lit the woodburner which will keep downstairs toasty warm, will put CH on for half hour to arm upstairs when kids come back from In laws.

MIL has invited us for xmas lunch:D, only thing I need to take is pudding, I will take extra bit such as wine, cheese and snacking bits, but thought I could buy a couple of bits every week leading up to christmas so I don't have to buy it all at once.

Better go and hang washing out.

  • Thankyou guys, I'm enjoying the peace and quiet :).

Managed to get 3 loads of washing done, some on the line and some on airer drying.

I have made a coffee cake and going to make some fairy cakes shortly, decided to leave the braising stk for tomorrow as it is still a little bit frozen so we will have pasta bake for tea instead.

Have checked banking and have paid all bills and have put £80 in instant saver for DD to hal!fax that goes out on the 28th, this way I could see just how much money I have left, which is around £450 :D, meeting friend for tea n Tuesday so budgeted £20 for that, have around half tank of fuel so may need to put in another £30 to last until the end of the month, will need to do some food shopping between now and payday which is 13 days away so probably £80.

I'm sure there is something else I need to pay for but just can't think at the minute.

Decided I'm going to order a few xmas presents as debenham$ has a sale on.
  • Hey PWPS.

Sounds like a lovely chilled out day. I never relax when my in laws have Jelly. Mean as it sounds they have a nasty dog who has a proven track history of near misses with children, mine included. Also a few unsavoury habits I won't go into but just leaves me unable to relax.

Yay for paying everything out and knowing where you are. I love that feeling but I think I still need to work on figuring out how much money I need to get me through a month. I never know quite where I am thanks to wages, tax credits, child benefit & housing bens all coming in at different times of the month.

Thanks for the debs heads up. Him still needs to get FiL xmas present so usually it is from there! I had to get all my families presents sorted, both for Jelly and for them from us, before I went in October. I usually do it all on the 23rd December ;)

Thanks also for the reminder that payday is in 13 days ;) phew! x

  • Hi Guys, sorry I've been missing and not updating my diary, things are pretty carp at the minute.

Tenant hasn't paid this month rent and I'm totally p!$$3d off with her, I've had enough and want her out. I called round on Friday to see why she hadn't paid and the front of the house/garden was a pigsty, broken toys and rubbish all over the front garden, blinds broken at the front windows, front door drawn all over with felt pen, she wasn't in so couldn't speak to her about it all, but have had a go at the agents and asked them what the h3ll they are doing for their money, I'm just disgusted that someone could have such little respect for another persons property:mad:.

So until I receive some money Christmas shopping is on hold, thankfully I have all the children's presents but still heed to buy for in laws and DH.

I'm currently full of cold and feel rotten, so all in all I'm not feeling the most festive person in the world.

Have managed to sell a few bits on ebay over the last few weeks and have been trying to keep up with surveys although I'm not near payout with any, hopefully I will be in the new year.

Hope everyone is alright and getting to grips with Christmas, take care.x.

Hello, am new to MSE but just wanted to say 'hi' and that I'm appalled at your tenant and their behaviour. Absolutely disgusting.

I hope you can resolve this asap.

    And get well soon.
