  • Oh Penny that is absolutely awful behaviour on your tenants part. I am disgusted. It is her home, how she can trash it is beyond me. As for not paying... wow. I genuinely don't understand it. Kick her out and get a new one. Start the process now. It has taken 8 months to get a girl out upstairs and she owes over £3k in top up rent & won't be leaving until the 25th January :( noisy so and so. Mind, her landlord is awful as well, unlike you!

Get well soon. I hope things start picking up and you get into the festive spirit soon! :) xx

Deep breaths PW - it's the tenants home, as long as the damage and mess can be put right when she leaves its not worth getting yourself upset over. The lack of rent again however is definitely worth getting angry over, hope the agents pull the finger out and can get the eviction process started for you (assuming naturally that the tenant is outside of a fixed term contract so you don't have to wait for the end of that to get things moving).

Makes me so angry that some people are willing to take such a relaxed attitude to paying for their home - makes it so much harder for people like me to find a decent landlord when they're worrying that you'll turn out like the last troublesome tenant they had.

Hope you're feeling better all around soon. xx

  • Tenant hasn't paid this month rent and I'm totally p!$$3d off with her, I've had enough and want her out. I called round on Friday to see why she hadn't paid and the front of the house/garden was a pigsty, broken toys and rubbish all over the front garden, blinds broken at the front windows, front door drawn all over with felt pen, she wasn't in so couldn't speak to her about it all, but have had a go at the agents and asked them what the h3ll they are doing for their money, I'm just disgusted that someone could have such little respect for another persons property:mad:.

Plenty of sympathy from me PWPS as sadly we are in EXACTLY the same situation right now with our tenants :(:( The letting agents recent inspection report made for scary reading and we haven't been paid this month either.

Keeping my fingers crossed that both of us get paid asap, given the time of year I'm not holding my breath though :(

  • Hi guys and thanks for posting.

Life has been mental the last few weeks with various events at work and school, I also seemed to have spent most of it ill one way or another. i'm to blame as when I got a cold a few weeks ago I didn't stop and have had one thing after another at the moment I have a terrible chesty cough and sore throat and feel as though the life as been drained out of me, my house looks as though a bomb has gone off and I really don't feel ready for christmas.

Thankfully work has finished for this year, although I always feel sad for some of the children who would rather be at school as it is warm, they get fed and life is structered, it is an escape for them from the harsh reality of life.

Things are slowly being sorted with tenent, her housing benefit had been messed up and we have heard from the council and it is being sorted and should be paid soon (fingers crossed). It has mean't that I have had to use the dreaded CC, but there was no way I was going to be late with any payments and it be on my credit file, so I've added around £400, this will be paid off as soon as rent arrives, I have to say I'm happier that the council is paying the agent directly.

Apologies for not posting on diaries, I will be back on board in the next couple of days hopefully and will catch up and see what mischief you have all been up to.

I plan to stat a new diary, but I want it to stat positively so will start it on a day when I'm feeling brighter and less like road kill.

    Take care everyone.x.
