Morning Penny, I can't believe it's the last week of the hols either, i'm quite upset really. We haven't done half the stuff I wanted to do with the kids as we spent so long with family visiting and us visiting them, luckily the kids don't seem to bothered but i'm gutted we haven't got longer! Hope you manage to work something out with DD and the lunches at school, my DS1 always takes a packed lunch and won't even consider eating in the school canteen (what a snob) but my two younger ones qualify for free school dinners this year (yay) so I hope to save some money there at least!
Do you have anything nice planned for your last week, or are you just going to enjoy the peace and doing nothing (aside from housework, cooking and general dogsbody us mums are) xx

Hi Guys, thanks for posting.
Received £50 payment from y0ug0v this morning, been and spent £25 on a top up shop in sainsbug and put £10 fuel in the car.
Last DD for the month has left account today, so start of a new month for me tomorrow when i get paid.
I have signed up to now tv and when DH gets home he is ringing BT and getting vision tv cancelled, it has become totally Carp over the last few months and seem to be charging for more and more, films can be up to £5 each  and there seems to be less and less on demand that we want to watch, so kids are currently watching turbo and DS wants to watch planes and I want to watch Thor tonight, If we watched all of those in one day on vision it would cost around £15:eek:, first month on now movies is free and then £8.99 a month, so see how we get on with it this month whilst it's free and I can cancel at anytime.
Trying to work costs out so bear with me,
NOWTV - movies - £8.99
entertainment £4.99 = £13.98
Bt vision - £12.50 a month and if we want to watch new movie £4/5 each. = minimum £16.50 month.
Ok think I have my head around that.
Tomorrow I'm going to go into town and get the last of the school bit, socks for DD, shoes for DS and need to get some toiletries from wilko's /pound shop.
Kids not back to school until middle of next week, so we are going to have one final big day out on monday, we are thinking either chill factor or alton t0wers, not sure yet. Will be packing lots of snacks/drinks to eat in the car to and from to keep costs down, I also have some vouchers if we go to alton for adults to get in free.
I'm sure I've got loads more to update, but my brain frazzled at the minute, take care.x.0 -

Hi Guys, been V busy over last few days and not got round to posting, friend has been able to collect keys to new place today and has moved in, I'm exhausted and don't think I could cope with a lodger full time, did give me some money towards food and bought me some flowers and the kids a mountain of sweets which I have diid up into sandwich bags as they are only allowed sweets at weekends (although I'm taking some tomorrow on trip out) so they should las quite a few weeks and save me some pennies.
BT vision has been cancelled and DH negotiated something else with threatening to leave so we now have unlimited broadband, telephone line, free weekend/evening calls for £25, so pleased with that and it's for 12 months.
PLMBL - still not watched Thor, watched Jack Reacher instead.
I have more to update but will do that later whilst DH is out and kids are in bed and I can concentrate.0 -
Hi PWPS. After reading your thread, I went straight to Quidco and did the same! I still have the BT Vision but after their recent muck ups they have basically paid me 3 months worth of everything in whoops money. I don't do On Demand. If it costs money, it isn't happening... Lol.
I too need to watch Thor 2. meant to watch when I got it but I have had a migraine and couldn't. Can't figure out why Tom Cruise became Jack Reacher. From the books, he is a 6ft 3 huge mountain of a man... Doesn't fit in my head and therefore I shan't be watching that one. There are so many good films though so I am happy! Thank you for mentioning it! My cashback has tracked too
Well done to DH on his negotiations

Tom Cruise became Reacher because he bankrolled the movie.....although if you can disconnect the book Reacher from the film its actually not a bad film at all.
Glad the yougov money came through PWPS, such a pain waiting for the cash to arrive after you've worked for it!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
