  • Penny I'm sure you can cancel the order (even if she's seen the episodes). There was something on Tilly's thread ages ago. I'm sure as a first offence etc they would refund you. Worth a try, distance selling legislation etc:money:

  • Thanks PWD, I will look into it.
  • Good morning, it is feeling cooler up north, I sat with a fleece blanket wrapped round me last night whilst watching TV.

Banking checked this morning and it's getting squeaky tight and I still have 9 days until payday:eek:.

    Bank account - £111.99
    Purse - £0
    Change tin £12.36

Bills to pay - £78 to halifax CC
    £32 animal feed bill

Today I need to buy bread and post 2 ebay parcels, I'm waiting on an ebay item being payed for but that it only £1.50.

Money waiting to come in - ebay £1.50
    y0ug0v £50.00
    mysurv3y £3.00

If y0ugov money doesn't arrive I will be doing free things like ge0caching with the kids, I'm hoping the £12 in change tin will do us for any groceries we need, I do have a few items ending on ebay this week but nothing has bids yet and If they do sell it won't be for much, fingers crossed I can make enough to take the kids for an ice-cream.

Spent yesterday cooking and made carrot and coriander soup, flapjack and coffee cupcakes, also made a huge cottage pie, haf is left so I'm going to freeze it and it will do for a tea next week, tonight is an easy tea of jacket spuds with cheese and beans.

Right better go and get dressed, take care.
  • Good morning, It's bright and sunny here but there is a chill in the air and can feel autumn on it's way.

Yesterday was frugal day and only spends were £3.46 on milk and bread, received £3 from mysurv3y.

DS has disappeared to his friends for the day so it's just me and DD for the day, we have made churro's and pigged out, we will have HM soup for lunch and then I will take DD down to her pony and she can go riding.

Have a couple of items ending on ebay today but I think only one will sell, so I think I will only make a couple of pounds today,I have now used up all my free listings for the month so can't list anything new until September.
Postie has been and brought me a freebie of pant3ne shampoo and conditioner so thats a few more pounds saved, it al adds up.

Hope evryone reading is ok and still enjoying the holidays, take care.x.

Its a FLW long weekend thingy on Eb*y at moment..........

Are you making much money these days on Eb*Y - with all the changes on fees etc I am beginning to find its hardly worth it and with all the new bits and pieces coming in I think small private sellers are being pushed out slowly and deliberately............

Hi PWPS. I am in the same squeaky boat as you this month. Hope you manage a few frugal an cheap days with the kids. When I was a kid all it took was a pair of wellies and a local brook with a butterfly net and I was away for the entire day catching teeny tiny fish and storing them in my wellies!

Igamogam I didn't know about the FLW... I really need to sort stuff out. Have a giant box of bits here and really need to get a shift on. I tend to not make very much on e8ay. In fact as it is usually Him who sells things, then transfers the money to his own account, and leaves me to pick up the fees, I think I actually lose money on e8ay :/

I think so many real companies are using it as a way to offload stock they can't anywhere else that small sellers are being pushed out. And e8ay probably have a good deal out of it no matter which way they turn so they aren't actively stopping anyone, just allowing it to change.. Kinda like the high street!

  • Afternoon, no I don't make much on ebay these days, I tend to list the max of 20 items a month that I don't need to pay for listing and that's it, I certainly not what it used to be and has gone down the pan in my opinion, I think greed on there part has played a big part in it.

Had a lovely afternoon with DD, went for a hack out and then mucked out etc, nice to spend some time just me and DD.

I have done a meal plan up until payday but do need some grocery shopping, mainly snacks, fresh fruit, cereal and bread, I'm going to have to do a shop and put it on the CC if yougov money doesn't land in bank account by next week, which will blow my target for the month :(.

Been thinking about next months targets, 1 will be to save money for blinds and the other will be an overpayment to tesco CC but not sure how much just yet, maybe something achievable like £50.

Better go and put tea on.
  • MOrning, its cold and throwing showers here and I've just checked BBc weather and it looks like it's going to be like this all day.

DS had a great day at his friends yesterday and was worn out when he got home last night, I think they had just played and played, he took himself to bed a 8.30pm went straight to sleep and is still asleep now:D.

DD is going to her friends this afternoon and is sleeping over so no doubt she will be tired and grumpy when she comes home tomorrow as they never get much sleep.

Plans today are to go ge0caching this afternoon with DS if the weather isn't too horrid and he isn't too tired. I also need t do some baking, I cannot believe how much food we are going through with not being at school, going to make vanilla cupcakes and choc rice crispie cakes. All meals from stores brekkie will be cereal if the kids manage to get up before lunch time, soup and sandwich for lunch and tea will be sausage, mash and veg.

Done a few more surveys this morning, one being a p1nec0ne one so that will be another £4 coming my way in a few days, still no money from y0ugov:(, it's just wishful thinking that it will be there before the end of the month.

    Hope everyones ok, take care.x.
  • I really hope the money turns up before payday for you! Nothing like money not showing up and blowing your whole budget (lost count how many times this has happened to me!) We're paid next Friday by my calculations and i'm in the same boat as we've used the CC this summer far too much :( hoping to get all payments in so I can pay it off! Have a good day :) x

  • Hi DFW, I really hope payment arrives, would mean I coul do a top up shop to see me through to payday next Friday.

Lovely next door neighbour has popped round with a carrier bag of plums and a carrier bag of cooking apples, will stew them all this afternoon and put in freezer ready for when it gets cold and we want some warming crumbles to keep us going, although I think will make an apple crumble for pud tonight.
