Morning Debtfree and thankyou, I guess I'm just impatient and want to see instant results, but we all know that's not going to happen, but at least it is going down and not up.

I have been really sad and checked bb c weather to see when it is supposed to rain here, none is forecast until lunchtime so I'm going to put another load on and try and get it hung out and dry, I am determoined to use the TD as little as possible.
  • Cakes have been baked and sausage plait made, not enough sugar to make flapjack so they will have to wait for another day.

2 more items have been listed on ebay, also have a couple of winter coats that kid have outgrown, not sure whether to list them yet or wait until it gets a bit more autumnal.

    Afternoon :)

My son's winter coat was one of the ebay items I sold and I got 5.50 for it with 3.50 postage (was enough even though thick and chunky) so I'd say people are buying and I'm glad it's one less thing taking up space and not being used in my house. Hth?

I too am VERY impatient and wish I could get out of debt as quick as I got into it :( I'm hoping the feeling of becoming DF will be much better than the small pleasures I had when buying whatever it was that got me into this debt!!!

You tea's sound fabulous - what's a sausage plait as I simply need to make one hahaha.

I have the weather app on my phone (accuweather) and it's quite good - I use that daily :o for the horses and washing. Mind you, despite the win, my stuff's not dried today - still feels bit damp and chilly.

    Take care x

  • Hi Debt free, Thanks for the heads up about the coat,I might just stick them on, at least if they sell they are out of the way. I managed to get a couple of loads dried today but did have to do a couple of mad dashes outside to bring it in between showers, looks as though it might be a dry day for some of tomorrow as well.

Sausage plait is a giant sausage roll, I plait the puff pastry, well kind of fold the strips at the side to make it look a bit more fancy, you could just fold it round a bit like beef wellington, lay out pastry put the sausage meat on top like a giant sausage roll, spread on a thick layer of applesauce/stewed apples and the cheese on the top and then cover with the pastry, its very yummy.

  • Morning, not much to update really.

Weather is much cooler today, although no rain is forecast so will risk putting washing out.

Today we are going ge0caching, probably straight after lunch, there is a local woodland walk that is a couple of miles that goes in a loop and there is a few there, so that will keep kids entertained and get us all out in the fresh air.

Need to get some sugar for baking and tomato ketchup whilst out and post ebay parcel.

Have a few of ebay items ending later, only one item has a bid so I can see me doing some relists.

Ordered DS some trainers last night, they were £12 in the sale, PP was £3.95, hopefully they will arrive before the weekend.

Forgot to get mince out of the freezer last night as we are supposed to be having meatballs and spaghetti, so not to sure what we are having for tea instead, may well be quiche or omelette.

    Hope everyones ok, take care.x.
  • Had a great afternoon out Ge0gaching, blew some cobwebs away and I'm feeling a bit brighter and on form again.

Whilst out I stopped off at a village post office and posted ebay parcel, they also had a little shop that sold local produce so I bought some bacon and sausages and spent £5, forgot sugar and ketchup though.

Sold another item on ebay for £4.99 but waiting to be paid so couldn't post it today, have another item ending tomorrow that has bids on and I relisted 3 items and listed 1 new item.

Almost at £10 on 0nepoll, so that's adding up again, have no survey sites close to payout, so I just need to keep plodding on with them.

Really want to paint dining room as it is looking a bit shabby, not sure if I can afford the paint at the minute, maybe that's my next challenge to make the money in September to decorate dining room.

Hope everyone is ok, take care.x.

Sounds like a good challenge to me :) Glad you had fun out and about - can't beat it. Good news on surveys and ebay too.

  • Decided last night to have a sort out in the garage and see what paints we had, I have found an almost full tin of paint but it's magnolia (must of been left over from rental property), I'm now wondering if I should use this and paint the Dining room, it's not really the colour I wanted, was thinking more of a pale green, but if I use this it will tidy the room and make it look fresh and not cost anything, will need gloss paint as I only have half a tin left, but this will only cost around £10, will have a think although I know it's a no brainer really.
We do need to put up some curtains/blinds in the dining room:o, just something we have never got round to buying mainly due to the expense, it has 2 biggish windows,so maybe I should paint the dining room with what we have and save for curtains.

Today i need to go into town and transfer money from one of DH accounts to another, all because he can't find his blinking pin centry thingy , honestly he drives me nuts he is so disorganised at home and yet at work everything runs like clockwork so he obviously can do it.

I have an item ending on 3bay today that has bids on and I made a withdraw of £4 from p1necone last night, so fingers crossed that hits paypal today.

Must buy ketchup today when I go into town, DS will have a hissy fit if he has to go another day without it.

    Have a good day.x.

    Morning Pennywise

I fancy a green dining room as well, ours got a quick sort out 2 years ago after the building work but its so bland and uninspiring. I'm not decorating it though until my bedroom has been done again, last done in 2009 so in desperate need of decorating!
DD goes through ketchup like its going out of fashion in our house, I tempted to buy a cheaper version and decant it into the H###z bottle!

    Have a good day xx
