hang on a minute...whats the catch CM??? Its not gonna be one of those "adopt a chicken" things is it??? and Penpen is expecting us to pay £5 per month for the up keep of our chook? it might be a ruse CM so that we have to pay for PenPens "wine addiction" :rotfl::rotfl:Churchmouse wrote::rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I never thought of that!! Well if it is that I pay for her upkeep I shall expect her eggs to wing their way to me:D(does her wine *habit* cost a lot? Mine's expensive enough, without taking on someone elses!!!!!)
Well, I'm busy and don't post for a couple of days, and look what rumours get posted about me. Do we have a *cross patch not speaking to Shez or CM* smileyHave these
Mine's a glass of Veuve Cliquot, btw, seeing as it's CM's round

Been busy - was at a bankruptcy and IVA meeting yesterday. Very useful, picked up a lot of tips, but it was in a windowless, warm, basement conference room, and by 3pm, we all got severe nods.
Went to see *Becoming Jane* yesterday evening at the cinema. It was based on the life of Jane Austen, and was how her life influenced Pride and Prejudice.
Yes, today is 21 days since we set out hatching eggs, but not until the evening. DH expects that they'll *pip* overnight (their egg tooth makes a small star-shaped crack, as it starts to break out of the shell). So egg-spect :rotfl: :rotfl: some developments tomorrow.
Been out and ordered a chain saw today     DH can't wait for it to arrive, and he can chop the pile of wood we have out the back.
See you all tomorrow, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Hello fellow old stylers!
Thought I'd drop in for a quick catch up as am technically "working":D
All well here but mainly work based. OS only hoovering and general tidy up. Have been very slack in my OS ways today due to time constraints [well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it] and have fed us from my Lidl stockpile...so that'll be Lidl pizza and baked beans followed by a portion of their very fat free cherry icecream. I can feel my hips expanding as I write that:rotfl: Did manage to pop into town and top up on fruit, veg and eggs from the local weekly market.
Not a lot planned for the forthcoming few days as just seem to be catching up. Hope to get the rest of the kitchen cupboards finished and we're having our wigs trimmed. My hairdresser has had shingles and the small person and I currently look like yetties. Mmmm nice look!!
No doubt I shall stagger in again at some point and update you with my ramblings. Cheerio!

Evening everyone
Just thought I'd better say hello, before I go and finish my packing. Work still manic. I'll be dialling in to check my mails, so may add a line now and again, but dont think I can cope with trying to read all the mails on dial up:eek:
((((((((((hugs))))))))))Queenie and anyone else wanting one.
Congrats Heather. Nice to see you again MATH, are you really job hunting?
Nothing much different today, w*rk, then college, then Boots - had to spend my £5 vouchers before I went away, but still have 2 leftEat up from the fridge for tea, and now just off.
Will try to catch up in the morning before we fly out at tea time - can't wait and the weather looks very promising for a sun-kissed look.
Take care

miolier dont use too much lavender during the day as it can make you a bit woozy as i have found out, a little is good for stress though
its a lovely soft wind outside, am just in from planting out the kale, its hardy, earthing up the potatoes and weeding
got three packs of buns in asda for twenty pence each, must find out when they reduce the fruit and veg, used to be a thurs afternoon

Nice to see you again MATH, are you really job hunting?
DG
Not job hunting as such, I pick up work here and there if it's school hours and term time. The job I was doing in the council was temporary during the local elections. I shall go back in the Autumn to help out with electoral role imputing etc, it's very ad hoc which suits me TBH.
I have just seen a job at a local Private school working in the Admin office, 2 hrs a day druring term time. I've just emailed for a job app so here goes nothing...LOLLife's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -

Queenie I am so sorry about your chook, for what its worth she had a great year with you. We used to have very old labadors(from lab rescue) and have had (before DH and I married)FIV cats. In both cases we knew htat the animal wouldn't have that long a life but made sure that the time was happy. Thats what you did for her.
Finally to all our dear KS2'ers

Congratulations Heathers OH.
Anniestar give Phoebe a hug from me xx
It's been a long long day and I am just off to bed, only just managed to crawl home and cook tea for the kids. Tomorrow is another long day as I have to take the parents shopping after work so I may even cheat and get a takeaway after that. All I can say is thank god tomorrow is POETS day!
Math good luck with the job application. If I can get a job after so long at home then you will wing it!
Life is good but why has everything chosen now to break down? I now have to replace DD's CD player which she listens to every night when she goes to bed. So that's another £20 Woolies will be getting out of me this weekend!0
