Morning Everyone
Had a minor panic this morning when I found out the forum was down until after 8am!!!
Got back from Belfast mid-afternoon yesterday. Spent a small fortune over there with taxis and dinner.
At work - the boss is in today. Received confirmation from my union that my direct debit's been set up properly this time. Still waiting to hear how my flat's progressing. It seems to be taking an age!
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all, raining here AGAIN  I'm going to put my tomato plants out whatever though later on today, they're already in flower.
Busy day for me today, I have a blood test at 9.30 and have had to fast since 7.00 last night, I'm frantic for a coffee but am trying not to think about it
Then I have an exam at college and then onto the hairdressers so I can have my grey stuff covered up again, won't be back online until much later on this afternoon.
So hugs to all, good luck to little ones doing their SATS etc and wellies on, everyone!

:hello: Moooorning fellow OS'ers
Thank you for the kind messages/PM's. Silky didn't last the night, but at least she isn't suffering. Only had her a year, but she had a fabulous year compared to the battery farm! She went from very oven ready looking and skinny to a fully feathered plumper. Great character too. The run looks very very empty and the lads are happy to have more - we've been offered 2 bantams - but I'm not so sure.
Yesterday at college was a disaster work wise, my head was all over the place (aside from Silky there have been other stresses the past couple of weeks) where things had built up, so I was very naughty and bought a bottle of wine ... and drank the lotBeen up since 4am feeling a tad delicate
Onwards and upwards.
Need to get our things sorted for d12yo's footie presentation night tomorrow - already sorted out 4 raffle prizes to donate, with d12yo's approval  Should be a good do.
D12yo made scones at Food Tech yesterday, which were very good, and there are some left which they can have after dinner tonight, so no baking going on.
Need to check in with the FL thread to give me some focus today.
cat - :T :T That is an excellent little bonus, well done
Catch you all later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

QUEENIE - so sorry about Silky - but she must have had a lovely year with you and your family so be glad that you gave her that. You must have needed the wine - hope the delicate feeling doesn't last all day!

Morning everyone
<<hugs>> to those feeling tired, gruimpy, slightly hungover, pmt-y, or unwell. Queenie, I was so sorry to hear about Silky xxx
This morning DH and I are off to the dentist. DH hates going to the dentist, so I have to make the appointment and force him to go. He used to leave it so many years that seeing the hygienist was very painful for him. If it was up to him, he'd never set foot inside the dentist. Don't have to pay for me as i'm on Denplan, but we will have to pay for his checkup and hygienist.
After that, I'm having lunch with a friend. We meet up for lunch or dinner once a month, and I really look forward to it.
Need to pop to the fishmonger on the way back from the dentist, as DH will be having fresh tuna steak for dinner. I won't be needing anything as I'll be eating well at lunchtime.
Spent yesterday in the garden pruning one of our very overgrown shrubs. It's half the height now, slighlly less wide. Got angry with the shredder when I was trying to shred the debris as the blades need sharpening or replacing. In the end, I left the pile of cuttings beside the shrub (it was as tall as the shrub). and waited till DH came home and sharpened the blades.
Spent an hour shredding, and got fed up. Bagged up the rest to take to the tip. Will give the shrub a few days to recover, then will attempt to trim the width too. Found in the past that pruning generates a growth spurt, so I took out the branches back to their source this time.
Also went to the gym yesterday, and delivered some cards on behalf of the gym.
Washburn now OK sleeping upstairs in his landing bed at night, but still no progress on getting him into the bedroom. We've carried him to the door to have a look in, but he's not having it. If he's not out terrorising the wildlife, he's curled up on his bed on the sofa. That's OK, but he used to sprawl out on the cat blanket upstairs.
Heavy drizzle here, so that means yet another load of washing on the airer.
Nothing else planned
.
Will catch up again later xxxx

Goodmorning everyone,
I was so tired last night I went to sleep around 7pmguess who woke up at 2.40 am and couldn't get back to sleep. I would have jumped on the computer but I would have disturbed DH in the process. I'm so sweet and thoughtful.
Well the 29 Steps was just that.Very interesting though. Not a lot planned today as it's a bit drizzly. Have got two *free* museum type things to do as it's not a good day for walks unless your a duck.
Essex-Girl I'm now worried when I had over my *presents* to my family & friends that they will think they are tacky now.
DH has just got out the shower. So my turn. Towel firmly in place PP.
HOpe you all have a lovely day & (((((hugs))))) to those that need them. ByeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Haven't decided what to do for dinner yet. I've got to go and see Lily's Physiotherapist at Lunch time and so will make a decision later. I suspects its going to be pizza. We've got a couple of nasty ones in the freezer and I intend to do them up with a bit of cheese.
Or that's the plan anyway.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -
Hi and good morning to one and all.
Not a lot going on in the monkey house today.
Just dropped DD of at school and then i went and had a look at our local Lidl's to compare prices for next month's shopping. I must be getting sorted now as i would never have done that before. Just trying to work out if it is cheaper to get meat from butchers and veg from grocers instead of the one stop shop i normally do at Mr T.
I think it will do me good to have a scout around for things and you never know i may get fitter as well;) .
