He just doesn't get how uncomfortlable everything is. Even relaxing :rotfl:
:rotfl: and conversely how you can nod off gently as soon as you get 30 seconds in a comfortable position - I'm terrible at the chiropractors at the moment as he gets me to sit on a stool and lean forwards with my arms and head resting over a pillow - it's so comfy I just want to go to sleep all the time - I can't replicate the same position at home though as there's nothing that's the right height to lean against that I can get my knees underneath :rotfl:

my maternity bottoms aren't so bad as all the underbump ones still fit and are mostly comfy it's the tops that are a nightmare and I'm not buying another lot the next size up but I don't know what I'm going to be wearing in a few weeks if this carries on

I wonder if I should be in work then. Are my water likely to go? I don't finish until tomorrow and still have stuff to do , but can't really do it from home. Willhave to cram it all in, in the next 3 hours and hope nothing else happens, then work from home tomorrow if nothing happens over night.

Ideally I don't want to go until Monday 23 as that will make baby a leo and we're bought a load of lion stuff expecting baby to arrive a week or so either side of our due date on 2 August. I know that is a stupid reason, but I really like lions!!!

Chances are, your waters won't go straightaway - sorry, didn't mean to scare you! :o I think in most cases, they'll go in active labour or have to be broken, so don't worry about that. Put a pad in just in case though ;)

Just take it easy - if you're not having any twinges, then it doesn't look like anything is going to happen too soon. I had DS about 47 hours after I got my show, so it's not like anything is likely to happen immediately. It could be days still - or it could happen tonight.

Keep an eye on it and talk to your MW later - good timing for your appointment! :)

Morning girls. Sorry for my whinge - feel much better now. Got really grumpy this morning, thought the dog was barking at 6am  then realised it was 9 and I had been sleeping through! :o Thanks for sympathising though - I hate just 'not feeling right' and late pregnancy seems to be day after day of 'not feeling right' . OH has got me a Barbie lucky bag with a scrunchie, some stickers, some jelly sweets, a bouncy ball and a colouring book to cheer me up ... :rotfl: . He's finished work 2 days early so we can have some 'time together' - so far I've managed to get him to hoover, do the laundry and he's currently cutting the grass ... :D I love 'time together' ;).

Oooooh Welshlassie, how exciting! I don't think a show means things will be that imminent though (I hope not, midwife's just been and said the trace of blood in my wee might mean I'm about to have a show but that it wouldn't be anything to worry about if I did - my section's still 5 days away!) but it's all proof that there's an end in sight. This may well be TMI but for the last week or so I've discharge like nothing else, no show as such but loads of mucusy egg white stuff so I know things down below are getting prepared. Will we have a race to see who has a baby before Tuesday? :T

Just been having a look through "the list" and can't believe how many people have come and gone on this thread. I've been around on it since the beginning and my time on here is coming to an end.

The MSE Pregnancy Club is actually a year old on Saturday. :bdaycake:

    Will I make it???
  • Hi all,

A big welcome to all the newbies:hello:

Curious I hope you're still here after that awful troll experience. What a seriously nasty, outrageous thing to say  Let's hope they have been dealt with accordingly!
Dormouse - hope things are still all ok with you after the panic!

Eels100 - awwww there is nothing worse than not being able to sleep, I'm having that problem at the moment so I fully sympathise

Ohhhh Welshlassie (if you're still here! ;)) it definitely sounds like a show... it's getting exciting :D

    BIG hugs to everyone! :D

My little moan :o I've got an awful stinking cold and I'm fed up with it already, couldn't sleep last night because of it.. was awake from 2am-5am and so of course ended up almost oversleeping!! and because of the cold I'm so worried that it's affecting baby (although my rational side knows that he/she is fine!) but in the middle of the night everything seems worse! :(

Ah well hopefully it will disappear soon and everything can get back to "normality" :D

I don't need a midwife appointment for another 4 weeks still (last time I saw someone was the 20 week scan - 4 weeks ago) and while everything feels ok it really feels a hell of a long time to go without an appointment, feels like I'm in limbo somehow. They did say you can make an appointment if you're worried about anything, which I suppose I'm not really so don't really want to waste their time. Has anyone else had this or is it just my area that leaves you to it from week 20 to week 28?

Well, that turned into a ramble! :o Big hugs to everyone.. hope you are all well

    Caz
    xx

ohhh im still here hon! :D
i may have called him a few choice names, but in fairness it was in retailiation (and nothing compared to the gobful he would have got if he had said anything like it in person, but of course these 'hard' internet warriors never would... )
im still in contact with the abuse team over it though and im sure they realise its better for them to deal with him, rather than what will happen if i track him down!

sounds like welshlassie is missing being pregnant already and the poor woman isnt even holding the baby yet!
it really is the end of an era when your about to give birth, your entitled to feel a bit soppy about it (i know as much as i wanted DD out, i was still sad that the pregnancy was over)

ohh... and sleep? whats that  :D

Hopeless Cook, I had to wait that long for the midwife too, although did get to see the doctor at week 22, so that broke up the waiting...not!
But now it's all systems go - doctor again at just 32 weeks and then midwife again at 36! I just don't know how I'm going to fit all these appointments in...

Well just got back from the MW she said it was definately a show and baby is 4/5th engaged so shouldn't be much longer to wait. She has predicted by Wednesday I will be holding a baby in my arms (hopefully mine).

I only going to miss being on here, because you lot have been so fab, long may it continue over on the Parent Club!! :)
