Ooooooooooh Welshlassie, that's so exciting! I'll be sending you good cervix vibes tonight ...
. Once you're finished work you have to come in here and give us hourly updates, and a definite contraction-by-contraction account of labour .... cos I'll miss out, I want to kow what it's like!
I'm sure we'll all meander over to the parent club - lord knows my poor babe needs its mum to get all the help she can, she knows nothing about children0 -

So how are you feeling? Any twinges yet?
Ooh, I've actually got something sensible to say. Went to Boots to redeem my (second- well DH has a card too ) free Huggies changing bag voucher, and it's a new bag they've got now! It's quite a nice-looking one actually (better than the other one, I think), it's black and white, and it doesn't have a huge Huggies logo on it.
Also comes with a travel-size bottle of baby wash.
Bizarrely, the box now says the bag is free when you buy a pack of Pampers, not Huggies, but the lady told me to get Huggies, which was just as well because I had another voucher for extra points for them. So I'm pleased. :T

oh exciting Welshlassie fingers crossed the midwife's right
Dormouse I suspect that Boots are moving over to doing their parent club promotion with Pampers instead of Huggies as the last lot of vouchers I had it was a Pampers one like the Huggies one in the first one that gives you extra points for each purchase. A bit annoying that the bag's nicer though  Although the Huggies logo comes off that bag really easily without leaving an obvious mark.0 -
Well I'm still here and in work this morning (last day), although I will be leaving as soon as I possibly can. DH came home with pineapple and grapefruit last night and we're having a curry tonight with my SIL and her DH (she is better than she was, still not right so is going to have next week off as well, but its just a virus because she has been doing to much - her bodies way of telling her to slow down). Also had sex this morning (sorry if tmi - a bit of gogo juice as DH so nicely puts it). I'm determined to get this going over the weekend.
I haven't really had any twinges just alot of braxton hicks and seem to feel permanently hard at the moment. Was shattered last night so went to bed after BB, but was awake by 4am and decided at 5am to get up and have breakfast (was starving) and have a tidy up. Then went back to bed for an hour or so at 6am.
DH has gone to work up the road from me today (he's a mobile engineer) so should I go while I'm in work he can walk over to drive me home/to the hospital.
Eels - I might beat you to it yet!!0 -
Oh, it is so exciting when one of our Mother Hen's is due! Welshlassie, you had better check in at regular intervals and put us out of suspense! x
I'm 30 weeks now and really, really can't believe I'm going to be a MumAm I the only one?
I'm not even that big! Sometimes I have to remind myself I'm pregnant

The funny thing is, even when the baby arrives, you'll still have moments when you wonder whether it's really yours - sounds stupid, but true!
Heck, even when you have a 4-year-old you sometimes get moments when you don't feel like a Mum! :rotfl:
I have to say though that my recent stay at the hospital really shocked me into reality - seeing all those newborns, I was like  "I'm going to have one like that soon!" It was actually nice in a way, made it all quite real. If I wasn't pregnant already, I'd be mega broody after seeing all the cute babies!0 -
come on welshlassie!
its 20.07.2007 what an excellent birth date!

"I cannot buy any more nappies" is my current mantra so please don't tempt me! :rotfl:
I saw a pic of the new style bag in the current Boots Beauty Magazine and it does look fab. The triple Boots points is now on Pampers instead as it looks as though Huggies have jumped ship to Tesco! Their basket gift is lovely too0 -

Not sure what's going on with the whole Pampers/Huggies thing.I still got triple points in Boots on Huggies, so perhaps we'll get them on both?
That would be good.
Not had the Huggies basket yet from Tesco as they haven't sent me the voucher yet.I really want it!
