We've had a girls name picked for months, although DH keeps making alternatives suggestions nothing every actually sticks. The problem is a boys name, I'm convinced its a boy, but we can't make a decision.

We've got middle chosen as it is DH mothers maiden name, he had it as a middle name as he was the last boy to be boy and it is quite a rare name so we'll carry on the tradition.

I'm really worried about my SIL - she is 18 weeks pg and last night spent 4 hours up the hospital as she had had some discharge and is feeling really rough. They have told her it might be a water infection and to go home and rest, but I'm so concerned about her.

I had a water infection with my DD and it really knocked me sidewards - I gave up work early and everything as they didn't tell me for ages. I tmade me feel really rough so I hope this is what's up with your SIL too.

Thanks for that, she was feeling a bit rough on Sunday, but we put it down to the migranes that she gets and the fact she had spent the weekend relaxing, the first opportunity she had had for 3 years as she has just graduated, but when she started getting the discharge as well we all really started to worry. Fingers crossed it is just a water infection.
  • Not long to go, Welshlassie! And I hope its good news for your SIL. Let us know how she gets on x

We had lots of boys names chosen but now thats out the window (unless we get a HUGE surprise on the birth day!). I keep thinking what other people will say/think about our eventual choice but DH says its exactly that - our choice so not to worry - but I can't help it!!!

Welshlassie, I'm using my maiden name as a second middle name for the babe as my Dad had three girls and I want to carry on the surname somehow (even though its a common Irish name and won't die out any time soon lol) x

Went to Asda last night and the Tommee Tippee closer to nature bottles were just £4 for two, whereas they seem to be £5.79 everywhere else. Also had the Palmers cocoa butter stretch mark lotion at £3.29 which seemed a good buy, especially when it has come out top in lots of trials in my baby mags. Lets hope it works!!!! hope that helps somebody : )

Sorry to have to say this, but I think it is only any good for fading the stretch marks once they have arrived, I've used it all the way through and my tummy resembles a London underground map. :(

Oh dear!! I did also read that it doesn't matter what you use - you will either get stretch marks or not, but thought it was still worth a go!! Not got any yet at 26 weeks, but I know there is a long way to go. Don't think my skin can get much tighter!!

I have been so uncomfortable this afternoon. My bump has been really tight all day, but in the last few hours I have been getting painful cramplike pains in my lower abdomen. The best way to describe it is as though I want to do a big fart, but when I go to the bathroom nothing is released (sorry if tmi). The intensity of them varies, but they are kind of always there.

I've had a few painful Braxton Hicks over the last week and non-painful ones prior to that, but this is different again.

Is it just wind, or is something getting going down there? I'm 38 weeks on Thursday.

    Hi Guys

Hope that you are all well. Will try and post a pic of Hayden soon, need OH to show me what to do.

Had a few rough days. Today I feel a lot better, milk seems to finally have come in and my little man is definitely feeding better- not every hour like he was yesterday!

I am concened that my brain is mashed, twice I have been unable to remember his name and then today I managed to spell it completely wrong in a birthday card. Don't remember feeling like this with the other two.

Anyway I promise I will try and get pic on here soon. Take care.
