Hi choccie, sorry to hear you been through a bad patch, here's hoping it soon passes. You're right, these girls are funny, I'm often chuckling away to myself!:rotfl:

Well, its my last day at work tomorrow, 2 weeks leave before my maternity leave starts on 27th Oct, in theory 4 weeks before due date. Hope bubba doesn't arrive early as I'm planning to buy birthday and christmas pressies next week as can't face the thought of tackling that with a newborn!

Also got nothing organised at all, we have everything from last time around, its just all in the loft so will be sending DH up there in the next week or so to fetch stuff down for me to wash etc. We've only just got around to discussing names. EEK, its really getting scary now! I still haven't got my head around the fact that this baby has got to come out at some point:confused: don't get me wrong, my labour with DD was fine despite being 2 weeks late and induced but that was almost 4 years ago, seems like I've forgotten that bit and sleepless nights, then there's the teething........ :rotfl:

Yeah, I'd kinda figured it was gonna hurt :p , but I thought it might start off light if you see what I mean. Does it really go from nothing to major pain? If it does, then Aarrrrgghh!!

I've had a few twinges and a lot of movement down below from I imagine her head is, had the runs a little bit and have felt a bit sick, but I don't think she's planning on coming out soon. Darn it. xx
from what i remember,i started off having period type pains, nothing unbareable but they did make me stop what i was doing for a few seconds and they didn't stop when i moved about which bh can. over the next couple of hours as they came closer together they got a lot worse and would literally take my breath away, that's when i went into hospital.

Similarly, the "I really want to boff you but I'm so constipated I can't accommodate you" line isn't as attractive as I imagined it to be ;)

    morning ladies :D

bump has been very very very active over the last 24hrs. It's not sore, but sometimes a little uncomfortable - a bit like having hiccoughs

AM - good to hear you are OK.

    Morning all,

Bit of a personal question - those who are under 12 weeks (or those that have been under 12 weeks) - are you having sex with your partner?

I am feeling a bit strange about it. I am 8 weeks and feel I don't want to have sex until I have had my scan.I know you can't harm it by having sex, it is just my own personal feelings on the matter.

So, has your sex life tailed off a bit or is it just odd ball me? ;-/

Hi ya im 13+6 and we didnt at first but that was down to me being too tired but now yeah albeit only bout once a week but only gentle position like side by side if you know what i mean :)

Just seen midwife. Will be under Consultant Care. She seemed very nice and reassuring, said there will be lots of help and support available to me. Feeling good! Shall be having an urgent scan now, then another at 20 weeks. Two doesn't seem like many, shall perhaps have a couple more private ones just to reassure myself.

Hope everyone is well this morning :)

I can't wait until after my 20wk scan, I will feel a lot more relaxed then. I have been having more brown blood, although I am not overly concerned as baby is as active as ever, it is a bit of a nuisance because it plays on my mind and I can't really relax.

I have spoken to the midwives but they don't seem to take a lot of interest in my area, they are nice enough but seem to constantly brush aside any worries!!

Hi Redmel, just wanted to tell you not to worry too much. I had brown spotting from 15 weeks to 24 weeks (off and on) and it drove me up the wall with worry everytime it happened, especially as I had miscarried before.

The first time it happened had it checked out at A & E but they couldn't tell where it was coming from. Had a swab done and no infections. My midwife told me it was probably a cervical erosion (like a graze on the cervix) and relatively common and harmless. Google it, there seems to be a few sites that explain it well.

Hope it clears up soon for you, I am not sure but I found an episode usually started when I walked too much in one day etc, so I found that taking it easy has stopped it. Could just be a coincidence though.

I'm 32 weeks now and relieved that I haven't had it for a couple of months. Still checking all the time though. Good luck for your 20 week scan.
