    Hi All,

So sorry to hear your news Skintchick (((HUGS))). Thoughts are with you and OH.

Hope everyone is ok today, i've got my 12 week scan on thursday so very nervous, 2 days to go and i'm starting to relax a little as i'm at 11 +6 today :o) Morning sickness is dying down but i've got really bad back ache (think my bed needs replacing) and feeling really heavy and bloated around the middle.

((AM)) will be thinking of you today. Do you have a friend or family member who could tag along to give you support?

I'm feeling awful today. Is morning sickness supposed to be this bad? I can barely get out of bed. I don't want to eat either, which seeing as I'm 21 stone, is very unusual!

    Morning all!

I'm just over 8 weeks (by dates) with number 4. As I have irregular cycles my edd is somewhere between 15th & 23rd May - so will wait for dating scan before sorting it :-)

Had booking in appt last week (they do it at 8 weeks here) and just had a call from surgery to say there is a prescription waiting for me for iron tabs - have asked for alternative if poss, as they give me incredible constipation and I have a rectocele (and piles!) making it painful, to say the least :-) (To go with the rectocele I have a cystocele & a prolapsed uterus too - what fun - after this one I am planning on getting my pelvic floor sorted out :-))

Big hugs to skintchick x and also to astons mummy - hope the cvs goes well. I am nearing 39 so will be booking a nuchal scan today for in a few weeks time.

Anyway, that's about it, I think :-D Long way to go yet. Am planning on seeing how long I can keep this one a secret. I managed until 20 week scan with number 3 before telling 2 eldest (now 10 & 8) who then told m-i-l and then the other mums at school when I was 23 weeks! Makes it fly by for everyone else :rotfl:

Love & hugs to everyone x

Welcome Greent :) I like you are idea of keeping it a secret. I was planning to do that, but within 24 hours of finding out, I was telling everyone! I'm glad I found out at 12 weeks, don't think I could have keep quiet for more than a day! Hope you are a better secret keeper than me! :D

Oh, and is it normal that I'm crying over everything? I mean everything, I'm not even sad, just crying!

Yes "morning" sickness is bad :) says she who's still signed off sick thanks to it because it's so bad the docs have put me on meds to control it but unfortunately they make me drowsy so not allowed to drive which I have to for my job...
I ended up in hospital because of severe dehydration...
Eating little or nothing is not a major problem - it won't harm your baby as it will get nourishment from your body - what IS important is drinking water and plenty of it.
I find that milk actually helps my nausea to a degree as does eating little and often.
Alledgedly we'll get over it ;)

I was taking medication for the nausea, that really worked, but its unsafe for the baby so they've changed me to something else, but that doesn't really help.

Luckily I'm off work anyway, I can barely get out of the door for Pyschiatrist appointment this morning!

Will try eating little and often, usually only nibble during the day then have a huge dinner with OH. Hopefully that'll help! Amazing that something so tiny can make me so sick!

I've not actually thrown up, its just a feeling at the moment.

Thanks for being so helpful! I feel I've been thrown in at the deep end and have no idea what is happening to me!

    AM,
Hope all goes well today, I'm sure dad will come round.
Have a look at post 6784 and few after. I had boderline DS results, a lady called bubs had riskier results but she logged on a few months after to say she had a healthy little baby.
I hope all will be fine with you too, thinking of you xx

yeah I know that feeling! This is my first too ;)

out of interst what did they take you off? And what have they put you on?
I'm on cyclizine which if fairly safe and works to a degree - it suppresses the nausea and means I can eat - before I couldn't even keep water down!
