I'm on medication, and NHS direct said I need to see the GP to discuss what to do about it. Hopefuly won't be long till I can see the midwife, I'm impatient and excited! Why isn't baby here yet hehe.

Ah I see - they should book you straight in with a midwife seeing as you are already nearly 1/3 of the way through ;):D

    Time will fly by (honest!)

    When are you due?

  • Morning all!

I am just gone 8 weeks and just had my mid-wife booking in session.

Height, weight, medical history etc. Was able to ask about flying as off on holiday on Sunday - everything should be fine. I received my Bounty pack (heard so much about them from you guys). So, I don't see midwife again until 16 weeks but in the meantime I will get an appointment at the hospital for a scan!

    Exciting stuff!

I think the 20th April. I wasn't really listening, I was just staring at the baby! It has arms and everything!

Hehe - most of us have come around to the idea by the time we get to the scan! If you have only just found out then you must still be in the OMFG - I AM HAVING A BABY! stage :D

Have you subscribed to the babycentre.co.uk emails? They are great - they send you one each week telling you how baby is developing - when it can first recognise light, hear, blink etc - they absolutely blow your mind! I am 19 weeks today and I am waiting for mine to see what bubba is up to this week (I am hoping I can start playing it music soon!)

My booking in appointment is on the 14th so not long to go :) first official scan isn't till the 3rd of november!
Yesterday was a toughie - felt very quesy again as down to 100mg of cyclizine from 150mg... hoping today will be better or I'll have to go back up again :(

Feelinggood - how quick you'll see the midwife will depend on how busy they are as you have to have a long appointment - I know the ones where I live are VERY busy and it was a good job I booked when I did... They'll fit you in because they have to - but it might be a case of you getting there to fit in with them or getting a call for a last minute cancellation!

I phoned the Doctors, I have to have the pregnancy confirmed by them before I see the midwives, so I'll be off to the appointment at 2pm. Phoned my Pyschiatrict Nurse, who told me to stop taking the medication, so now have withdrawl symptoms aswell as morning sickness, fun!

Thank you for all being so helpful. My head is a bit mushy, I still can't believe it!

Hello, just thought I'd pop in quickly. I'm so sorry to hear your news skintchick. Thinking of you tomorrow.

I'm now 37weeks and 5 days (or 39weeks and 5 days - nope, still can't let go of my original date!).

I think I have finally engaged as I have less heartburn, bump seems lower, I can breathe a bit better and bump has shrunk from 110cm to 107cm.

I keep imagining I'm going into labour and then nothing. I've had a few twinges which I think could be the start, but then nothing happens. I am so ready for this baby (even if my bf's boss isn't - he wants me to wait till Nov as he doesn't want bf to have time off work!).

Are there any signs that I should be looking for that might indicate I'm going into labour? I'm sure it's not as quick as they show on the telly (just finished watching Father of the Bride II :o ). Keep thinking I'm damp "down there," but think I'm trying to convince myself my waters have broken and are trickling out.

EDIT: Also getting what I think are Brackston Hicks, but not sure if she's just really active. Can feel movement in my pelvis where her head is like she's swinging it from side to side, but it could be my bones moving about or something, I have no idea!!!
