hi ladies, i'd love to join you if that's okay? I've been reading this thread with interest over the past couple of weeks and got my BFP on the 16th Sep making me 6+5 today. I've had a m/c previously so taking it day by day at the moment and checking for bleeds everytime i go to the loo. To all those who have given birth over the past week and also those who have as wonderful news at scans etc I must say a massive congratulations! Your stories are all very encouraging. To those who await scans and results and are worrying about things, I will say this...Please try not to worry (almost impossible I know), no-one on here can tell you what you truly need to know, but we can be positive for you and hope some of those vibes make it across and all will be okay.
p.s Hubby has instructed me to do nothing this weekend and I am shamefully taking full advantage, I wonder if he will go and get me a drink!!??
xx
it was not until I actually gave birth that I was able to accept that i WOULD have a baby this time, as I had a miscarriage last year. That sounds really weird but i just couldn't imagine myself walkig down the street with a baby this time around. Now she is here I feel fine:D
BTW I had 3 near misses with DS1 - 2 bleeds and premature rupture of membranes at 19 weeks and told to 'let things take their course'. Result one big 8 year old son now! everyone is different, my mum had 'periods' for the first 3 months she carried me:eek:Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Hi hun, love your new avvy:D DD's decided to get a flat, as she needs her own space:j :j :j :j :j apart from that, she's stopped being sick, and is feeling much better but is really spotty on her face and back:rolleyes:
Oh, that is good news!!! :j. But not so good about the spots!. I think we all go through that stage before we 'bloom'!
How are you?
I'm 35 years old today!. No idea how that happened :rotfl:. Been so busy with visitors that I'm already snuggled up in bed with a tin of Roses.
I also received my results back today and I don't have gestational diabetes! :j

Our beautiful little girl was born on Thursday morning after a VERY quick labour. 1 hour 40 minutes. There's not even anything IN my notes about the first stage, I kind of skipped that! LOL.
She was 7lb 15oz.
Could only have gas and air cos I was too far on in the labour - in fact fully dilated and ready to push when I got to hospital.
I had a tear in the perineum, but all in all at the time it was a BIT of a shock but looking back a VERY good labour/birth and hubby was fantastic and didn't lose the plot or faint, he cut the cord and put up with me grabbing his arm VERY tight (they had gas there but no mask to start with so I swore a bit too! :rotfl:)
I will post more details - if you want them LOL. i am glad to be home and so far so good with the breastfeeding.
AM you must be so worried right now. My DS1 has a lot of problems health and developmentally but they could not have been detected before birth. I know that theres a 100% chance that i love him to bits.

Hi girls.
Well, I think I have lost the baby. Yesterday the brown started to get redder, and then it was like proper blood, and last night I had the worst cramps.
Today I still have blood coming out, and some cramping. Not really any clots, but I can;t see how this is anything other than bad news.
I have sobbed my heart out and now I feel fairly numb. Keep thinking of having to tell our parents they aren;t getting a grandchild after all. I feel like a total failure and although I know I couldn;t have done anything to prevent it I feel so guilty.
I still have the scan tomorrow but it feels academic now. I don;t expect to see anything.

skintchick - I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through. Please stop feeling like a failure. I know it's little comfort right now but your parents will only be concerned about your welfare.
sending you big hugs xr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Skintchick don't feel guilty or bad about anything.
Last year when I had a miscarriage i WISH more people talked about that sort of thing. It is a very hard time.

Aww, hugs to you skintchick. Hope you're tucked up under the duvet. When I had my m/c's beginning of this yr I found the hardest part was telling my mum. She was very supportive though. Dont feel like a failure, m/c's are sooo common.xxxx0
