Hello, my name is SeptemberBaby and I am officially a Nappy Buying Addict!!! :o

I really do think I have bought too many Newborn packs (14 at the last count) and couldn't resist buying yet another Huggies pack today from Tesco just to get the free Baby Beginnings Basket (which really is lovely, by the way...).

Do you think they would let me exchange some for the next size up? OR, do the more experienced Mum's think I might even need more Newborn size? How many nappies do I need per day?

I'm getting really worried about everything now as I'm nearly 30 weeks - how did that happen?!

I think 14 Newborn size is enough :rotfl: From what I remember, I think DS only went through maybe 3 or 4 in the smallest size :o The good news is, most shops will let you swap for a bigger size no problem - Boots will even do it without a receipt (and Tesco might do too)! ;)

What does raspberry leaf tea do then? And why shouldn't you drink it earlier? Haven't heard about that one!
It stimulates and tones your uterus or something. From what I've been reading, it doesn't actually cause labour, but helps to tone up all the right muscles

oh CG what a nightmare I hope he got home ok

    welcome hopeless and congrats

fac enjoy I'm really jealous as we went to one when I was about 20 weeks and didn't have a clue what I wanted, needed or should be buying and the next NCT sale anywhere near me will be well after baby is born. Although at least by then I might know what I need :D

emma if you're comfortable then it's probably ok - I couldn't bear a wire from the beginning as they made my boobs too sore. The milk line runs from your armpits to your nipples (some women feel sensation along it when they orgasm) so it's generally thought that it's better not to block that in any way but if your bra is still comfy and not digging in then a) lucky you and b) you're probably not doing any harm. There are some designs of maternity bra that have wires where I think the wire is longer so you're less likely to get the end of the wire resting on the milk line but I've never been able to get hold of them so I don't know.

OK so my whinge for the day... I've entered week 34 and have suddenly puffed up like a erm puffy thing :D . I think it's the weather as much as anything but my hands and feet are all puffy and even sitting with my feet up doesn't really bring them down. What's even more annoying is that it's not during Wimbledon when I'd have been happy to sit on the sofa for hours on end with my feet up :rotfl:

Hope you've all enjoyed the sunshine today, wasn't it lovely in the end :) The NCT sale was pretty good, although a bit of a mob in there, very frantic, and in the clothes hall girls things outnumbered boys by about 5 to 1... but we got a few bits and bobs. Some lovely little dungarees outfits from Next for £1 or £1.50, they looked brand new

Justie my feet and ankles have been swelling for weeks now :( nothing helps either, once they're up they're up and don't really go down until the following morning - more motivation for early maternity leave... frequent spraying of Magicool does help ease the discomfort though, I swear I should have shares in the company that make it...

Does anyone here go to/been to a mums bumps and babes type of group? The NCT hold one near me in a Pizza Express each week but I don't know if I would be brave enough to go - anyone know what they are like/what to expect? Do you just walk in and introduce yourself? I'm rather shy but am a bit worried about getting lonely on maternity leave :o

Oh don't get me started on the puffiness... I swear it wasn't this bad when I was pg with DS, and that was the hottest summer of the century!

My ankles aren't slim at the best of times, but now I just look like a total elephant. They don't even seem to get much smaller in the mornings - I'm an elephant 24/7 - nice! :o And I've been like this for a couple of months now, at least. :(
  • thanks everyone, 7.05am he got in!
13 hours for a 300 mile journey  stupid car and stupid car company....
i will get them for it!

hello Hopeless Cook, my due date buddy :j
