Just thought I'd draw everybody's attention to some great nursery bargains over at www.nurseryandtoys.com
They've got bedding items from £1, under cot-bed drawers for £1.99, inflatable baby baths for £1.99 and baby bouncers for £4.99 and lots of cheap toys for babies and older children.

Thanks, Jo. Just bought 15 items and could have shopped there all day! I loved the winnie baby bouncer and the 'growbag' type sleeping bag but DH wouldn't let me order them as they are blue! (another opportunity to curse the sonographer who couldn't tell the sex!). Not sure if the drawer will fit under the cotbed we have chosen but its worth the risk at that price

Just wondering if anyone does any exercise when preg? I am soo tired at the moment (I'm 34 and 24 wks preg) and thinking if I started exercising I might have more energy.?
I like swimming but would feel such a lump in a swimsuit I have put that much weight on already, I was size 12/14 but have ballooned!
Any ideas or motivation wld be good lol

I was thinking about starting swimming more regularly too, rachelja. (Swimming is the only sporty thing I really enjoy
) Trust me, I'm not a pretty sight in a swimsuit, but I don't care. Will slap on some self-tan on my wobbly thighs and try and jump in the water very quickly, LOL.

You could try brisk walking or Davina's DVD. However, later on your ankles might swell, and then you really need to keep off your feet. Swimming really is the best all round, and it is difficult to over do it, and the water supports you, which can help with aches and pains.
I really should try and get my act together.

I've had bad fatigue through a post viral thing that was set off by my pregnancy so didn't do anything for the first 25 weeks but have just got the Davina DVD and think it's very good - I felt much better for having done it. Swimming is very good but I only really do breast stroke and can't do that with the SPD type thing I've got so the DVD works best for me. Bear in mind that you will get out of breath more easily so it feels like hard work whatever you do but even walking regularly is better than nothing.0 -
I've just come back from the WM. Had my triple test. Was such a wimp because of the needle, but they have said my iron levels are on the low side, and I have to go back and pick up a prescription later this afternoon.
I have heard all sort of stories about how horrible the tablets are, please can someone in the know tell me best practice.
Many thanks in advance.0 -
I had to have iron tablets at the end of my last pg, and my tummy did not approve
(constipation - never have that problem otherwise
). I cut down on them a lot, and thankfully DS popped out just a couple of weeks later.
If I have to have them again, I'll ask the GP for a more tummy-friendly version. :cool:0 -
my friend took something from the health food shop instead of the tablets - can't remember what it was called though sorry but it may be worth asking as iron tablets are pretty unpleasant.0
