Have got another internal scan tomorrow. Had some bleeding nearly 2 weeks ago. They took me in for an internal scan. They could see a sac, but nothing in it. They have said that, based on the date of my last period, they should have been able to see the heartbeat, but as my periods are very irregular it might just be that it is actually a couple of weeks earlier than we think, so scan tomorrow is to check they can see the heartbeat. Based on my LMP I should be 9 weeks, but they think I might actually be about 7 weeks.
So fingers crossed everyone that they see a heartbeat tomorrow and everything is ok.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Claire_Jones wrote: »Can anyone advise: I'm thinking of using re-usable nappies but which ones do people find the best? I don't want to spend a fortune on them only to find they are useless! Definately going to have to use disposables to start with as don't fancy washing the first few!!!!
Also are muslin squares useful? people have mentioned then to me but I haven't got a clue! If so how many should I have and any ideas as to price?
Thanks everyone
I have bought some muslin cloths from morrisons 3 pac for 1.99. i have seen the same pack in instore for 2.50 and on the boots website they are 5.99 for a pack of 6. i have no idea if they are useful but everyone who i know who has had babies recently have used them for all kinds of things and my nephew loves to cuddle up to one as they are very soft so i hoping it won;t be a waste of a purchase!0 -
I haven't really felt the baby yet, although for the past two days I think that's exactly what I've been feeling. Sitting at the computer I tend to lean forward, effectively squishing the bump against my lap. And that's when I feel the fluttering, flipping fish and allsorts. Then when I lean back - nothing. Am I just annoying the poor thing? Should I lean back at all times? I thought they had enough space in there:wall:0

binky - they are handy for loads of things, mostly for putting over your shoulder when your burping the baby,
then if babe goes blergh! it will get the cloth and not your top...0 -
i feel the baby move more when im lying down. tricks for getting him/her to "perform" are drinking something cold or eating sweets. also if i jiggle my belly i get a kicking.
i expected the kicks to be a lot stronger than they are now though, im 24 weeks and been feelng them since 18 weeks.
also now im working i hardly ever feel anything during the day, maybe as im too busy?
after a miscarriage though i do still have very paranoid days.
going on holiday next thurs so trying to be chilled !
as for food, no wierd cravings but all i want is chocolate and i was never a lover before.
this may be tmi and might only be me but does anyone else have wind and produce very bad smells, i do and its embarassing it happens no matter what i eat !0 -
Congratulations, Tequilla! Hope you and Tiger-Lily are well. Lots of best wishes to you and your family x
Good luck, Flis! I told you the time would fly until your next scan. I'm sure everything will be just fine x
My poor DH had to have a veggie diet for a while as I heaved at the smell of meat (I'm veggie so I was fine!). From the first few weeks I have craved orange juice and drink almost a carton a day but I'm now introducing cranberry juice to vary the diet! Anyone know if too much vit C can cause problems?! I also went through a stage of 'needing' savoury golden rice (with soy sauce - yum!) but now its jacket potato and cheese with salad - I've had this every night for a week!

I had my first ever craving today, for blackcurrant jelly. Sent OH to the chop to buy some ready made and all they had was orange and strawberry which didn't quite hit the spot!!! So I'm off to the shops tomorrow to stock up!!!They took my signature away!!!!0

Just wondering if anyone does any exercise when preg? I am soo tired at the moment (I'm 34 and 24 wks preg) and thinking if I started exercising I might have more energy.?
I like swimming but would feel such a lump in a swimsuit I have put that much weight on already, I was size 12/14 but have ballooned!
Any ideas or motivation wld be good lol
(couldn't find my tankini anywhere), but it felt really really nice. It was great getting an hour of 'me' time as well, and just doing something I enjoy and something that's good for me. :A
Am thinking of turning this into a weekly thing now :A :j0 -
