:rotfl: :rotfl: How many weeks are you supposed to stay like that?

Mine was breech at the scan, but I don't think I'm supposed to worry at 4.5 months :p

Talking of breech, I think my baby turned upside down yesterday when I went swimming.

I'm not worried yet at just 26 weeks, but then I remembered how with DS I spent many a night sitting astride a wooden chair (comfy - not!) to encourage him to get into the right position. Thing is, I can't remember when you're supposed to start doing that? I'm thinking I'm going to start soonish, but the thought of giving up lovely slouching on the sofa does not fill me with too much joy... :o

I'm 32 weeks and the midwife said that it wasn't a problem whichever way up the baby was at this stage as there is still plenty of time for him/her to swing back round.
My baby is still really active  so I'm not getting too fussed about it yet. (incidentally she did think s/he was head down anyway.)

PS: Congratulations to flis21 - glad that your mind has been put at rest and your Xmas dinner salvaged if little one sticks to the timetable! ;)

    Congratulations Flis and Tequilla! :j

I am having neurotic worries of my own tonight......(what's new?!) Anyway, took a hot water bottle to bed last night 'cause of backache. Woke up later on to find I'd rolled onto it and it was under my bump. Really worried that I have hurt the baby.....Baby was kicking when i woke up so don't know if that is what woke me up, just feel dead worried and guilty now.....:(

Congratulations Flis on your successful dating scan.

Wait until you see baby at the end of your first trimester. You will not believe the change. It is wonderful

    Hi,

My little girl is 10 weeks old and has started to discover how far in her mouth she can put her fingers.... this then makes her choke and worry me to death. During the day this is not too bad as she is either with me or in her little chair near by so In just pat her on the back and all is ok but now I'm worried she might do it during the night and that I may not get to her in time.

She also seems to have an awful lot of saliva in her mouth on occasions which I worry also makes her choke.

    Any advice?

    A worried mum

Sorry I don't really have any advise, but I am sure your baby won't do anything to really choke herself. Do you have to stop her actually choking herself, or does she pull her hand away herself ?

Speak to your HV if you are really worried though.

    Hi
Birth went really well spent all day saturday scrubbing the house top to bottom.. sat down for dinner at asbout 9.oopm started getting backache and twinges. by 1.30 they were getting painfull so phoned hospital and they said they were fully booked and as my waters hadn't yrt broken then to stay at home.... 2.30am lots of blood (she had broken her placenta instead of the water) called hospital again and they said come in ASAP. Had an examination once there and was told that i done all the hard stuff at home and was 8 1/2cm dialated (sp?). 2 hours later out popped babe.

Wow, I had a 3 hour labour (was induced) and was quite frightened by the speed by which everything happened (in the end), but short labours are much preferable to long drawn out ones (first DS was 22 hours, 6 of which intense).

    Congratulations, BTW
