Thanks dormouse. I looked it up on NHS direct which said it's risky in under 20 weeks, but nothing about after 20 weeks.

Yeah, I'm not sure why such a definite cut-off point at 20 weeks, but that's what I've seen and read and been told everywhere. One of the girls working at my DS's nursery was 30-something weeks pg when they had the slapped cheek outbreak and she was told to keep working and not to worry(she had to have a blood test anyway though ).

Also, my MW said you have to be in contact with the child who has it, so if it's your child that was in contact with them, and your child hasn't got it, you should be fine. Ask your MW just in case, maybe?

Chances are you've had it at some point anyway without knowing it, like I did. :)

Funny how we don't flinch at the thought of pushing a baby out of our nether regions

Speak for yourself - I've not tried it yet and the very idea has me flinching left, right and centre! :rotfl:

    Congratulations casperlarue.

Wow, you are not that far ahead of me (date wise). You are now half way there, eventhough we seem to be still on the bottom part of the list.

I don't feel so it is such a long wait anymore.

Glad to hear that you scan went well and that you are having a pink baby.

I have recently become undecided about finding out what colour our's is. Previously I was all for finding out, but now ...

... well I have 6 weeks to change my mind

    frequently !

    thanks izoomzoom,

i'm getting used to having a girl bump, last baby was a boy and he'll be 3 on 1st august.... wow time flies! He predicted he was having a baby sister but when we went for the scan he said "oh look mummy, hampster!"

you know, I can't remember what made me laugh before I had DS!

Congratulations and welcome casperlarue! :) My DS also predicted the sex of the baby - they must have some sort of sixth sense for that sort of thing :p

    Hampster, LOL! :rotfl:
