So, had the 20 week scan today... not impressed. The 12 week one was so much clearer, the baby was moving, waving at us, you got to see the profile and the whole. Today I had no idea what I was looking at half the time! She couldn't get the face as the baby was looking towards us, so lots of scull glimpses, arms and legs were all curled up, so only she could account for all four. But the whole point of the scan was an anomaly check and it was all great, nothing she could see wrong.

The photos we got was hazy profile with leg and some sort of bumblebee :rotfl:(which I guess is bulk of baby with ribs showing through).

Amazing moment - we caught a glimse of a yawn! Soooo cute.

Embarassing moment :o - she kept jiggling my fat belly to get the baby to move. It jiggled a lot...

Ho-hum, next glimpse sometime after september :j

  • Hi all.

I'm now 29 weeks and really large (weighed 11st2 before pg, then was in maternity clothes by the time I was nine weeks. Currently weighing in at 13st depite 31/2 months of morning sickness!!) My mum calles me "porker" and DH finds it hilarious to call me "Tubbs". My dad insists on telling everyone that I'm having a 'biblical pregnancy' - the punchline being "she's eating like a plague of locusts!" Is it any wonder I'm developing a complex?? :rotfl:
    Lightbulb Moment: January 2006

Current Debt: Loan 35500 9.9% Secured - taken out to consolidate all other payments coz there were so many!!

LOL Agutka, the bumblebee made laugh :) Glad it went well, even though you couldn't see much.

TerminallyShort, I know how you feel - my Dad and DH are good at rubbish jokes as well. :rotfl:

    Hi guys

I had lots of comments early on about the size of my bump. Bearing in mind I got to my goal weight @ WW the week I found out I was pregnant I was a bit worried about putting weight on. To be honest now I haven't weighed myself for a few weeks, and up until that point I'd put 21lbs on. Lots of people say I haven't put on weight apart from at my bump but I really don't care about what other people think anymore. I'm happy with my pregnancy.

Unfortunately my grandad died this week and it is his funeral on 29.05.07. I'm bit worried about whether or not to go. I live 200 miles away (it's in Liverpool)and I will be 36 weeks pregnant on 01.06.07. Not sure what to do. Will mean leaving other two kids with MIL near where I live for a day. Obviously I don't want them to go to funeral but I do worry that if anything happens to me whilst I'm in Liverpool (i.e labour), they won't see me for some time as they will be 200 miles away. OH doesn't seem to get where I am coming from, and despite me trying to explain I felt he was harsh with comments last night.

Overall it's been a rough few weeks. I'm fine but emotionally it's been tough.

Yippee, i'm all excited, got my first scan on the 11th June - should have been scanned the week of the 28th May but no appointments till then- can't wait to see my little 'bun' and make sure everythings ok.

And SIL- DH brothers GF had a baby boy at 3:20 this morning so we're aunties and uncles, and DS has a baby cousin :D
If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.
    ROCK IT DON'T STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BE GOOD OR BE GOOD AT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sorry for your loss. Its a long way to travel and I wouldn't do it all in one day if I were you. Its a tough decison to make (poor you). However, we do have a fantastic Women's Hospital here in Liverpool if the babe decided to make an early arrival! Hope your OH makes up for this behaviour last night  and take care x

Thanks septemberbaby. I'm just very emotional. Mum and brothers and sister all in Liverpool, so would be lovely to catch up with them, but just not sure what to do. Will have to think over next fewdays.

I'm sorry about your grandad, jenpoptab. You don't really need to make the decision right now, do you - see how things are in a few days.

Did your other two come earlier than EDD? If not, it might be an indication than this one wouldn't appear at 36 weeks either. I know it's not foolproof, though. Take care.
