Don't worry - there is loads of things to get scared about over the next 33 weeks (still loads to come for all of us!) - taking a load of tests is just not one I have heard of before.
Believe me, as you start to thicken out and you can't stay awake past this time of night then you will be absolutely convinced that you have a little life inside you!!!
Be sure to tell me to calm down when I throw my inevitable wobbler about giving birth!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

OH wants Edgar (I think not!) and I am quite liking Howard (well Howie for short). It is getting to the stage that I may have to go back on my no R's rule as I quite like Ruben and Rufus - but I am trying to chose a different letter as it will just get confusing when the boys get older and start getting post.
:rotfl:isn't it funny how everyone has different ideas! We've decided that if little burger (don't ask) turns out to be a boy he'll be Edgareven though my mum hates it
I love Rufus but I'm not out going enough to use it although MIL named her cat it after i suggested it
Our problem comes with girls names I was really set on Isabella but my best mate has just had a girl and called her Bella, My 2nd choice is Matilda but hubby is called Matthew and the lads at work call him Matilda to take the mick so he doesn't like it
Ps. I personally hate it when people have kids with rhyming (christian, Julian) or same 1st letter names (Cara, Charlotte, Carol..) but its quite common, each to their own I say:A0 -
Morning ladies!
This morning I am back in work but sat on my gym ball. Have had a few people come in for a giggle but I don't much care as long as I am not in so much pain. However, I am hoping that word doesn't spread as far as site or I can see a string of lads suddenly deciding that they need to come into the office for one thing or another!
Sami - I love Matilda too but it was the name of my friends dog :rotfl:
Sarah - sending you good thoughts for a quick and pain free labour (when it happens!)
Fritha - where are you? You must be a mummy by now!
Daisykate - are you all ready in case you have an early one?
AF - how was the heartbeat? did you manage to get a good recording?
Everyone else - hope everyone is feeling good this morningplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Morning MFD!
I missed your message yesterday sorry, we're off to Lanzarote at 5am in the morning for a week and next Friday (day after we get back) I've got my dating scan, so I'm really looking forward to that!!
I wasn't hungry at all yesterday but at 10pm I NEEDED a cheese and onion sandwich, so I made one. HUGE mistake. It kept repeating on me all night and when I went downstairs this morning, all I could smell was onion, I nearly threw up in the kitchen sink, bleughhhh!
I've got sooooo much to do today, I've already stripped sons bed, gutted his room and hoovered and polished. Now all I have to do is the same to our bedroom, same to daughters bedroom, clean bathroom, make sure all the bedding is washed, dried and back on and sort our luggage out *groan*
If I don't catch you all later, hope you have a good week and I'll report back next Friday sometime after my scan!!xxx
P.S. To the ladies who are waiting to drop, I hope it happens sometime soon for you! I can totally sympathise, I was 42 weeks when I was induced with my son...eeeeek!! xxxTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

MFD - morning
sarahsaver - hope you have a better day today
Fritha - I'm sending you lots of happy newborn vibes
I have the midwife coming on saturday to see me and DH at home. It's my normal 24wk check up (We are viable!!!!!!!!!) and a homebirth assessment all rolled into one. Will MW check the heartbeat again as standard as DH hasn't heard it yet?
Also - I'm trying to think about what questions etc I want to ask, anyone any tips on what I should cover re: general and re: HB????
thanks guys xr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Hi all,
Morning :hello:
MFD - Nice to see you are at work with your gym ball and that it is working for you. I can imagine all the boys coming in off the site to have a noseMy dad was in construction all my life, well still is but has his own business now and I remember what some of the men could be like. At least it is easing the pain for you.
Yesterday at the MW went really well. I had a student midwife as well and she was lovely as was the other MW. I had not met either before as they work as a team.
I got a recording on my phone of the heartbeat (one minute long) and it was AMAZING. I was so surprised at how good it made me feel to hear bub's heart beating away.
r.mac - sorry can't help re the HB, but I hope all goes well and you get as many answers to your questions as you can. let us know how it all goes. have you seen the other thread on the forum re hypnobirthing, i think it's sarah1980 asking some questions.
sarahsaver - hope you have a better today day. thinking of you.
fritha - soooo looking forward to you reappearing on this thread
elle-gee - so nice to see you posting yesterday and keeping a watchful eye over us.

hi ladies hope your all well need to keep looking back as i keep forgetting what im going to say lol!! well today is the first morning ever i have woken up and not felt as tired as i did when i went to bed! so got up and put the forth coat of paint on the walls in the dining room its taking around 6 coats as OH decided it would be better to paint over the wallpaper rather than strip, lining and paint but i have my doubts?
shellsuit have a great holiday wish it was me:D
