I've been bouncing around all day today and haven't felt nauseous once!

I've done the ironing, packed my clothes for our hol, done the hoovering, cleaned the kitchen, had a nice soak in the bath and even braved it to cook the tea for OH and the kids!

Just me to be fed now, but I'm just gonna have something like beans on toast (on wholemeal bread, can't face white for once?) later on.

Hopefully I'll be feeling the same tomorrow in work! :)

Keely, lovely to hear from you, glad you are both doing well.

SB-I'm so jelous you've got to see your little one again!! Glad all was good.

I had a big shop yesterday, ordered carseat and base, mattress for cot and crib, pushchair, nursery decorations and few bits and bobs yesterday on t'internet. Cant wait for it to arrive. Cant say the same about the credit card bill though  !!!

I'm gonna have a little moan since I'm on here, I'm currently 32 weeks and its starting to upset me that everyone is saying i've got a small bump and i must have a small baby. Although the MW says im measuring ok i'm worried he's gonna be really small. A girl in work is 6 weeks behind me and she's got a bigger bump, she keeps telling me my baby must be tiny and that i should ask my midwife for a growth scan as my baby is not growing as it should. Its started to worry me now, I eat healthily (most of the time) and was 6lb 10oz myself born (3weeks early). It made me cry today and I'm not usually the crying type.

Moan over, I'll prob feel fine again once MW has seen me.

Hope everyone else is ok. xxx
I got this today and my due date is tomorrow
My MW said my bump is 'all baby' and its about 7lb ish which is FINE, if yours has said yours is fine then it is. People will hate you afterwards if you...horror of horrors...get your figure back!!! BTDT and got the new smaller t-shirt!:rotfl:
People will always find SOMETHING to criticise when you are both PG and then a parent.
it is because they expect pregnant women to be FAT which is not necessary.
You will have to develop ignoring techniques or else say 'no the midwife says the baby is fine I am just not overweight' that should shut them up. or maybe 'well I'd better eat more pies then' People do not think and also do not believe they SHOULD think before saying things to pregnant women!

Total and utter poo my dear ! Chances are you are just all baby , you will loose all your baby weight straight away and will walk out of hospital in your pre-pregnancy clothes (cow!) ;) . If midwife was concerned at all about baby she herself would have sent you for a growth scan .
ETA: Me and sarahsaver are saying the exact same thing so don't worry
Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .

    Here Here.
People can be so cruel. If i were having a strong day I would say to this woman 'actually I find your comments upsetting'.
I had growth scans when i had DS1. I was (for me) the size of a house at that time and he measured off the height centile.

Thanks so much girls, you've made me feel so much better. I've been ignoring these comments everyday now for the last month or so, think i'm just fed up, may say something along the lines that mw says its all baby.
ps, why is the thanks button not there anymore. Want to thank you guys but cant.

Your work colleague is just peeved you ain't the size of a house and she is :p . next time she says something ask her when the triplets are due :rotfl:. Basically everyone carries differently , I know people who have just a "football up their top" bump and give birth to 9lb-ers and others who have been so big they need a crane to get them off the sofa and have had 5lb-ers . But it works the other way as well before you start thinking poo , I have a monster inside me ! :rotfl:

Did any of you ladies just watch the Sex Education programme on Channel 4?

It was about Pregnancy and Birth this week!

I watched it with OH and even thought I'm pregnant with my 3rd I still found it informative ~ we both shed a tear when the lady gave birth at the end 'sob sob sniff sniff'

It should be repeated if there is anyone who wants to watch it :)

    Emma :)

When I had my son I had an epidural. It was great, I didn't feel a thing and merely winced as I pushed him out, BUT saying that, it was horrible just lying there not being able to move around for hours on end. Oh and then having to have my Mother afterwards help to bath me at the age of 20 because I hardly had any sensation in my legs still.....that was so embarrassing! :o

When I had my daughter I had pethidene. I felt totally spaced out. I had a magazine and must have read the same paragraph over and over again for around an hour, because nothing I was doing was registering in my mind.
OH (at the time) said I looked like a smackhead because my pupils were like tiny pin pricks. It was great for the contractions, but for actually pushing her out, it didn't help with the pain at all.

I've never had gas and air so I'm gonna give that a whirl this time unless the pain gets too bad, then I'll take whatever is on offer! :D

If you do happen to decide to go for an epidural, make sure you have it written in your birth plan as your midwife will be able to check where and how long an anethesist (sp?) will be, whereas if you don't have it written down and then decide on the spur of the moment you want one, you may have trouble getting an anethesist in the nick of time :)
