MrsTine, hope all goes well with your rest in hospital and hopefully you will come out feeling a whole lot better. Eek, good luck with the twin scan, although saying that, twins run in my family and hubby and i would have been happy if we were having twins. take care of yourself. :hello:
MFD - still no email from babycentre. guessing you haven't had a response from them as yet.
welcome to the new mums to be
Keeleykat - great to hear from you. glad elliot is settling in well. sorry to hear about the breastfeeding. it too is something i would like to do, but if it doesn't work out then i will have to accept that, like you have and just move onto bottle feeding. guessing the less stressed you are, the better for elliot.
Well for me, work is a complete nightmare at the moment. Really struggling to think what it's going to be like not working, even though things are difficult at the moment. I do have the option of working from home, but woudln't fully be able to do my job and i am struggling with that.
was in the bath last night and must have just zoned out for 10 minutes thinking about how everything is going to work when bubs arrives - me not working so much (well not at all initially), money, seeing hubby (works nights) and the list goes on!!!! can tell i think too much for my own good :mad:0 -

Hi all, I'm expecting my first baby at the end of January, and am suffering with sciatica at the moment. Very difficult as I have a strenuous job (I'm an archaeologist), but since I found out I was pregnant work have allowed me to do paperwork and data input instead! Very handy as I don't have to be outside in the rain anymore!! However, the sciatica makes sitting for long periods very difficult. Anyone have any tips?1st baby due 28/01/09...oopsidasy!!;)0

Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

What about one of those bump support belts , helps with SPD so may help support your lower back . http://www.yummymummymaternity.co.uk/maternity-support-belt-by-emma-jane-14-p.asp Have a look around though for a better price , I am sure you can pick them up cheaper , maybe even on Ebay .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .

Hi Everyone,
Congrats to all the newly announced pregnancies! Had my physio today and have been given exercises, a tubigrip and a recommendation to buy a proper support belt.
Basically the best I can hope for is that it won't get worse if I keep up with the exercises. Got to say I'm feeling a bit down at the thought of this constant discomfort and pain for the next 3 months - and that's best case scenario0 -

Can you sit on a gym ball at work, instead of a chair?0 -
Hi all. haven't posted for a while but be assured I've been lurking.
Had 20 week anomaly scan last Friday and everything was great. Has put paid to paranoid nightmares for a while thank goodness.
All this reading about sickness makes me feel guilty as I didn't get sick at all:o . I hope you all feel much better soon though.
Finally bit the bullet and sacrificed by beautiful underwired undies for some proper maternity bras. Glamourous they are not but they will get me through the day until my next growth spurt:rolleyes: . This baby malarkey definitely isn't very MSE, especially as I seem to be growing to elaphantine proportions overnight. My pal who's due 4 weeks before me is barely showing and I look massiveI can't even wear my 'fat clothes' anymore...
We've been to look at prams but aren't really any less confused than before. I think we've decided to skip the whole travel system thing and spend a wee bit extra now to get a car seat that will see Bean beyond 9 months but I would like a pram that has a carry cot. A bit of colour would be nice too. There's an awful lot of black, grey or brown around which isn't particularly cheerful...
Enogh rambling..
Congrats to the new mummies and hugs to those not feeling so great.

Had a lovely day in town shopping
I had a make-up lesson at a MAC counter and the ladies couldn't get over how small I was bump wise. I don't mind at all - but so many people have said this (in fact everyone has) that I'm going to mention it next time I see the MW and get her take on things. I don't mind a small bump though
I used the gap voucher martin emailed in the maternity range today and was pleased with my purchases - I really recommend their long sleeve t-shirts. they wash brilliantly and can be worn afterwards too as not too maternity in style (not rouched and still cut well).
Also got fitted at Bravissimo too - have grown a little, but not a lot, but got a couple new bras and feel much better for it. You are right - this isn't very mse
Nice to hear from you Keely - just remember not to beat yourself up about the BF. Hope that you are enjoying eliot lots
have to do some housework this afternoon - lucky me. I did buy myself a new mop though so I don't have to scrub the floors on my hands and knees anymore. I thought I deserved a bit of a treat
MFD we never did get a holiday booked and now hubbie has decided he's in melt down and desperately needs one! I can only fly for another 8 weeks or so, I better get searching asap. I'm so glad you enjoyed the US. I'd love to go there but don't think i've got it in me right nowr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0
