Sami_bee I am lucky in that if I don't have to go on site I can work from home - it's just this wednesday I have a client in the office and they insisted on an early morning meeting darned it! *sigh*
I am thinking I'll have to "fess up" tomorrow because it's now 13:00 and I haven't stopped feeling sick - I opened the fridge and nearly threw up there and then... so far today I've had one biscuit because everything else makes me feel like i'm gonna be sick...
And whilst typing that I just had to run and throw up... well try to anyway...

  • I have just entered my 6th week. Still sore nipple on and off and no morning sickness. From Mrs Tine's experience, I am hoping my morning sickness never materialises.

Morning or should I say afternoon ladies,

I normally post initially in the morning but haven't had the chance today.

AM - hope the physio is just what you need. so sorry to hear you are in pain like you are.

MrsTine - I am now 15+3 and can say thankfully the constant feeling of sickness has left me, and i only seem to get it every so often. i do find if i let myself get too hungry it comes on, but this was never the case initially as i just always felt sick. The way I looked at it was that it gave me comfort with the thought that my bubs was wanting to stay put. i know you have said about miscarry fears and i am there with you on that one (and still am), so found it 'nice' to experience these symptoms of pregnancy.

I have just had a bit of shock. Phoned my GP surgery to make an appointment for my 16 week check for baby's heartbeat, only to find out that the GP i have been seeing and who i got on very well with and was excited for me with the pregnancy has left!!!! The other doc i like is on hoilday and is not back until I am 17 weeks. The doc covering i do like, but not one i would have originally chosen. The midwives operate from the 'main' surgery which is a bit of drive and with hubby working nights I want to avoid having to go out there. One midwife is meant to be at the surgery i go to one day a week so just waiting to get through to them to see if that is the case.

I'm only 9 weeks so dont really need belly support yet but will probably have one later on.

sorry I should of explained; while your bump is small/not showing you wear it tight on your hips to stabilise the pelvis.
I hope you get better soon I had it mildly and my sister who's a physio scared me with stories of women who get it so bad they can't get out of bed because their pelvis is so loose they'd just fall over

    MrsTine,

Im more of a lurker than a poster but felt for you.

Im 34weeks and this is my second pregnancy after many problems, the sickness started from very early on (thats how i clicked i was pregnant) and sorry to say to date has not fully gone away! the same for both this and my first.

The constant sickness is the worst thing, i tried all the usual advice, ginger, dont get to tired, eat small and freq, travel bands, nothing worked untill i had a breakdown at my check up about 16weeks, the doctor did prescribe anti sickness tablets - havnt cured the sicky feeling 100% but a great improvment and not being sick any longer so feel human again.

The only thing is i dont think they like to prescribe the medication unless its a last resort, good luck

Up to now the only antenatal checks my DD has had is the booking in visit at hosp, and 12 week scan[STRIKE]on same day[/STRIKE]Her next appointment is the 20 week scan at the hosp, as she doesn't want the screening blood tests, is this normal:confused::confused:

I got a midwife appointment at approx 16 weeks so they can take bloods for downs and spina bifida. The MW also listened to the baby's heartbeat (although I think that this was more for me then for her - I don't think she put anything in my notes).

I am sure the MW said that the downs tests can't be done after 20 weeks so I think it might be important that your DD sees someone before then.

Edit - 'scuse my baby brain - just saw she doesn't want the tests!!! Sounds normal to me then!

That's what I had with all mine. Didn't want the tests especially as they are not 100% conclusive anyway;)
The midwife should see her more often however, I see a community midwife who is based at the doctor's surgery one day a week.
