Tums are the thing that works for me with heartburn. I would not touch Gaviscon

I have got really bad heartburn too, starts about 1pm and lasts all day no matter what I eat or drink. The midwife prescribed me something but I haven't picked it up yet but I'll let you know how I get on.

My DH has got a bit better at not inviting people round all the time, but they still seem to turn up! It's really annoying but I just try not to get to stressed about it and think they'll have to take us as they find us.

  • I would like to wish Keeleycat all the best for tomorrow, and LUCKY YOU!!!
i am SO fed up now!
Braxton Hicks keep getting stronger, have had a very small 'show' and I am SO tired but somehow sleep earlier made me feel more tired and emotional!

AND my first baby, DD, is 11 years old tomorrow!

Thanks, I'm feeling better than I have for ages thanks, apart from all the zits that have appeared on my back!!!!

I have got my 20 scan on Friday and am really scared. I watched the documentary Dawn gets a baby the other night and I am now petrified about labour!!

    Congrats!

I'm 19+1 and i've grown the biggest, sorest, hardest spot on my cheek overnight, to go with the collection i have on my shoulders:eek: Is this what they call the healthy pregnancy glow?

My 20w scan in Monday - I'm soooooo excited.

I take it its your first as you're scared about labour - its not that bad! If it was, i wouldn't be having no.3!

  • I have to second that - its not that bad. not enough time is spent on helping women believe in their capabilities and reducing fear. Your body IS made to be able to do this! Best of luck;)

Zits on back? HA! I'd swap in an instant... you'd NEVER guess where mine are? (Apart from the 3 that have developed over night on my face!)...

ON MY BUTT!!! I kid you not! They are dead sore too!! have applied tea tree oil in hope they will die down a little by tomorrow... *sigh*
Why the butt? I can cope with other places but my BUTT??? :rotfl:

Happybirthday to Sarahsavers eldest DD. Sounds like you are moving in the right direction sarah - hope that things move sooner rather than later for you.

Keelykat - best of luck for today. we are all thinking of you xxx

MrsTine - :rotfl: My best suggestion ws going to be tea tree oil. Spots seem to be the hormonal norm. At least they are easier to cover up ;)

Wwww this is exciting!! Keely in hospital, Sarah showing signs of labour!!!! I cant wait to finish work and log on this evening to see if u are still here!! Good luck!! xxx :j
  • I was having braxton hicks from about 35 weeks with DD... Thought I was going into labour at first and started timing them and everything... When I actually went into labour I didn't time anything!

I also second what the others said about labour, I've done it before and I got through it... almost without pain relief so it can't be that bad! Trust in yourself and forget everyone else is in the room... Your body will know what to do.

Morning sickness has slightly eased this morning... Not completely gone but a lot better than yesterday!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

You can stop laughing ya moo :p

I'm away with work tonight but my trusty tea tree oil is packed! Might have to buy more just to be sure!

I never did like my butt much but this has just clinched it (intentional pun) - I hate my butt! And all the 7 zits that currently reside on it! ARGH!!!!!
