Thanks, I'm feeling better than I have for ages thanks, apart from all the zits that have appeared on my back!!!!

I have got my 20 scan on Friday and am really scared. I watched the documentary Dawn gets a baby the other night and I am now petrified about labour!!

  • No spots for me (yet) but I do have the most awful heartburn!!! I'd forgotten how bad it can get and I *hate hate hate* the taste of Gaviscon too!

Lots of good luck for Friday. Are you going to find out what you're having?

Aww, don't be scared! Last time I was glued to every birth programme going on the Discovery Channel lol. It will be just fine, promise!

  • I am just sat here in tears after having words with hubby because he has invited his sister and her daughter over for dinner tomorrow night. I haven't got anything in and I will need to give the house a once over and less than 24 hours notice when I work full time is just not enough.

So do I stand my ground and feel like a cow or run around like an idiot to accomodate them?

  • Oh, MFD, my DH does this from time to time and it makes me furious! Usually I only get an hour or so's notice and its only for a cup or tea...but typically its when I'm having a PJ day, haven't hoovered up (we have an extremely moulty dog called Henry!), the sink is piled high and I have yet to dress Poppy...and DH and MIL have been shopping and just want to 'call in'.

Can DH tidy the house? Will he cook tomorrow? I've just cancelled going around to my sisters as I'm soooo tired tonight. I never know when I'll be full of beans or just want to go for a lie down as soon as I have put Poppy to bed.

My guess is that he just didn't think it was a big deal (!) but he needs to ask you before making plans :o.

    xx
  • That's the thing - I have done it before at an hours notice or less. Hubbys response to tidying the house was 'you did it on sunday'

I am just pee'd off that SIL has wednesday off work and yet is going to sit around all day waiting to come to mine for dinner when I am out of the house between 7am and 6pm. I know I am not being fair but shouldn't someone be cooking for me?

Hubby is in 'fine, I will tell her not to come' mode and is in the bath.

Sorry - just being self-indulgent, thanks for the support SB.

Thinking of you keely. Good Luck for tomorrow.

Can't you ring them and say it will be a takeaway bearing in mind you will have been at work all day?

If they don't like it they can always cook for you and bring it round?

I could do all sorts of things - and I probably will...tomorrow.

It's been a long day - is it bedtime yet?

    Hope everyone else is okay.

Amen to that sister! Gaviscon is evil in a bottle, it's like drinking pva glue! Oh but it's so much worse without it :-( I eat a LOT of ice cream as that really helps :D

(Btw I've never actually drunk pva glue, it's more what I imagine it's like to drink!)
