Nothing's really fitting now (clothes)-getting really fed up now. No point buying bigger stuff as theres not long enough left. Im going to meet a friend in town soon, but feel really crap now. all hot and bothered too. (and typical that im meeting a friend with the most gorgeous figure ever).

My DD2 borrowed a Doppler Fetal Heart Monitor from her sis in law and I recorded the heart beat on my mobile phone. Just had a look at the date I recorded it and I think she must have been about 10 or 11 weeks pregnant at the time :undecided

Not sure i'd recommend buying a Doppler , but if you can borrow one it's great to be able to hear the heartbeat :j

You can see the heartbeat before 12 weeks.
i would not bother with listening it will just make you worry MORE and get obsessed with listening!
I do not want to know the sex of the baby there is no point, unless there were a genetic condition in the family which only affected one gender or another, and then still i would not have a termination.
Not painting anything blue or pink EVER. All the clothes I have for the baby are unisex. it WILL most likely be a boy or a girl !!! :)
Lucifa i am in the same situation with the bump.
Just be reassured that your boobs will get SO big after the birth that you won't be able to see your baby stretched belly! :)

  • Caz, my preg with Poppy and this one have been so different that it was bound to be a boy this time even though I was convinced it would be another girl (only due to the fact that I'm one of 3 girls myself!). I hope baby co-operates and isn't shy on 25th Sept! x

Hi, Jenn, and welcome to the thread. Not long for you now! x

Candy, my MW told me that they don't check for the HB until after 16w as before its much harder to find and it would freak Mums out if it couldn't be found! The HB will be clearly visible when your DD has her 12w scan and I'm sure you'll have a little tear in your eye! Re the dopler thingys, I was advised not to get one (and believe me, I would have been first in the queue!!!) as apparently it can become an obsession and again can freak Mums out if they can't find the HB. After around 16/20w movements should be felt which is all the reassurance I needed xx

re baby's gender: I was aboslutely completely and utterly convinced that we were having a boy. Decided that we should ask if they could see the gender at the 20 week scan as I know me and I didn't trust myself not to try and giver her back if it turned out to be a she rather than a he. Had the 20 week scan and was told it was a girl! Went for a 4d scan as well, yep, almost certainly a girl!

And I'm still not convinced! We'll see what comes out but needless to say I have three pink sleep suits and everything else is white!

Keely, if it helps I feel like poop as well, and it doesn't help that the baby has found something painful to poke!
