hey congrats to the newbies!!! and hope everyone else is well!
went to do a bit of buggy browsing today, the shop where i bought my last pram had the phil and teds and they were so eager to show me it in all the positions and had DS2 in all the seats etc lol!! had it folded and pushed around the shop. look at their other doubles but not impressed???
then went to other baby shop which i had already found out stocked the icandy pear, was quite nice looking but i felt like the seats were strangly set out. staff were not helpful in anyway and moaned when i asked to but DS in and have a push around the shop. it felt heavy compared to the P&T but it was so different. staff were not willng to show me how to fold or change seats over which i was disappointed in as this would have helped me decide which to go for????
also went to asda to pick up my mum to be bounty pack and new baby pack that i still havent claimed lol! there are no £5 vouchers but £5 off when you spend £10. eaily done on baby clothes though eh! so i now have lots of vouchers and samples to test out!!:TWhat's for you won't go past you0 -

I'm thinking of buying one of those heartbeat monitor things for in a few weeks, I had one with my first but sold it once I'd had him. Does anyone else use those?
I personally dont think they are worth the money, i bought one with my first and never got my moneys worth as the instructions said that you couldn't hear the heartbeat until about 25 weeks and by that time you can feel movement anyway so get reassurance by that.
They maybe better now but make sure you do your homework before you spend to much money on one.
I know its easier said than done but try and think positive
Take care

The one I had with my first was a doppler like what midwifes use and I managed to pick the heartbeat up at 14 weeks, I personally found it a godsend just because of the problems I had and I was just really paranoid if Im honest! I know a lot of people dont bother with them though, I must just be one of lifes worriers!0 -

Morning people!
I had an internal scan yesterday as I've been having a few pains and thought it might be eptopic.
Everythinhg is fine, we even saw he foetal heartbeat!
I'm only 5 weeks though, so nearly 2 weeks behind what I thought I was!
So I estimate I should be due around the end of April, beggining of May!
Got to wait another 7 weeks now for a scan though!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

Morning AM,
So pleased with your news. That must have been amazing to hear a heartbeat for reassurance. I was at the docs last night and confirmed that i see him at 16 weeks for the heartbeat. hubby and i are looking forward to that (as well as the 12 week scan next week).

Have a dilemma now as had an early assessment scan booked for when i was 9 weeks 6 days. However they have just left a message saying the need to re-arrange. As I can only really make weekends I now have to consider whether to scan the weeks before or the week after.
I feel waiting until 10 weeks 6 days is too near when my nhs scan will be however not sure how much I will see at 8 weeks 6 days. Any advise anyone?0 -
I would go earlier, But then, i'm impatient.
mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
me too - I have booked for 7th sept - cant wait.
Just to see a heartbeat would be good enough for me0
