Hi all.
Has anyone on here had bleeding in early pregnancy?
I'm just over 6 weeks and when I wiped myself last night there was very very light pink/orange in the tissue, as if it;s the very last bit of the period, I've had nothing since.
I've had back ache but I have squashed disces in my lower back anyway and often have back trouble/sciatica.
I did phone the NHS line and doctors and they just told me to rest and if I get abdominal pain or heavy bleeding like a period to go to a&e.
I've got my midwife booking in appointment on wednesday so if nothing changes I'll wait until then and see what she says.
I dont know wether to call in sick to work for tuesday, I work in a care home so it's pretty physically demanding and I dont want to rock the boat
I'm well scared!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

I did, about 2 weeks ago. It was just on the tissue when wiping too, but quite a lot and scared me half to death.
I took the day off work, stayed in bed most of the day (apart from running back and to the loo to keep checking) I had already had my booking in so I phoned the main midwife office (based at the hosp) and the midwife got back to me to arrange a scan at the early pregnancy dept. the following day. I was scanned at 10wks exactly and baby was fine...
Best advice is rest and definately don't be doing any heavy lifting! Try to last until your midwife app but if it does get worse definately nip tp A&E, although they often don't scan you there and then they often make you an app for the next day or so..
I will keep my fingers crossed for you..

Thanks, I phoned the epu @ hospital and they said the same , if i bleed again or get cramps to phone them back and go from there.
I kep getting really mild pain but am unsure if it's in my head or not, god this is so nervewracking!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Hello All,
I'm now 9 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and my OH and I haven't told a single person, not even our families. We're worried about telling anyone before 12 weeks because I had a MC last year and don't want everyone to get too hyped up too soon. But I'm completely exhausted, have had morning (or should I say evening) sickness, and feel a bit lonely without anyone to talk to. Has anyone waited until 12 weeks to tell their family/friends, and if so, how do you cope without telling anyone besides your OH?Debt at highest 01/01/2008- $79,385.32

Hope u ok keely. Sending you hugs xx
Yoanbob, everyone gets child tax which is £20 per week i think. Have a look on www.entitledto.com and they might be able to give you more info on what benifits you can have if any.
Crazyaboutsaving, I told my mum only a few days after we found out. She was brilliant, she'd cook for my husband a few nights a week because I couldn't tolarate smell of food in the house. She took all my ironing and bought me lovely snacks ect, she's sooo lovely, I only wish to be as good a mum as she's been. My sickness in early preg was so bad i had to tell colleuges at 8weeks and most of them said they'd guessed already, they allowed me to have more breaks and were just lovely too. There are a few benifits of telling some people earlier.
Choccie, I used to eat a mint in the morning and take my toothbrush into work, I'd feel better about 11am and could manage eitherbrushing my teeth then or swilling mouth out with mouth wash.
Hope everyone else well. xxx0 -

Hi, I'm 12 weeks and have only told my sister so far, we already have a 4 yr old daughter and we want her to be the first to know iykwim but we obviously don't want to tell her until we know everything's OK so we aren't telling until after 12wk scan which is not until I will be 13+3.
Its been easier than I thought to be honest although I am getting a bit fed up of getting sideways looks from people who clearly think I ate all the pies!
I don't think I could have coped without having told my sister I think you do need someone other than your OH to vent to, isn't there someone you could confide in who would keep it quiet for you?MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740
