I know it's early days for me but i've been looking at buggies, and I quite like this one as it's rear and forward facing.

    http://www.twoleftfeet.co.uk/Chicco_For_Me_Top_Stroller_Vertigo_2008.html

It's never too early to start thinking about shopping, I found out at 4 weeks 2 days and immediately started browsing buggies!!!,

I'm twelve weeks today but I haven't bought anything yet

I quite like that buggy but its more than the silver cross one I was thinking of, has anyone had Chicco before, whats the quality like?

    Hi All,

Not been on for a few days as been really suffering with all day sickness and just bout managed to make it through the days let alone do anything leisurely like post on here.

Have my 1st midwif appointment next friday, which will mean the egg (not progressed up from bean!) will be 10 weeks. then hopefully wont have to wait too long till 1st scan, 12 weeks is about normal for first scan isnt it?
Im desperate to get that out of the way so any fears can be set aside for the time being, just hearing its ok in there etc.

Have now just started looking at prams etc but to be honest i havent got the 1st clue what im meant to be looking at!think my mum would like to pay for it, but things have changed since her time too so its like the blind leading the blind! any tips on what we should be looking for?

Hi CAFC girl. You are at approx the same stage of preg as my DD, but she is inly going for her scan and blood tests on 12th Sept. She's asked me to go with her, as her bf needs the money, and wont get paid if he goes :(I can't wait though:j :j
As for the pram issue, i've already got the pram for DD, and posted about it further up the page.I think it's down to what you can afford and what you need really:D

Yeah it is quite expensive, I want a rear facing buggy though, so am trying to find a travelsystem type one that isnt massive.
I had a chicco with DS it was ok, but i'm not really an expert on the quality of brands lol

    Thanks Candy,
Has your DD already had her booking appointment? or are they doing it all in one go?
Midwife said on the phone this (nxt fri) would just be a chat, go through my history etc, say hello LOL. She seemed really nice so got a good feeling.

My OH is currently not working but if he gets a job which starts before nxt fri I'd probs ask my mum too, even tho i do want OH with me, i dont think he'll pay much attention, whereas im a sponge for information!

As for pram, we dont want to spend loads if we're going to be changing it few years later, we saw some in mothercare that were like £800! Thats a bit much for us! the cheaper the better but i dont want to comprimise on safety for the sake of £'s....
It will be mostly town walking it'll be doing, not planning on going off road.
Plus im also petite and dont weigh much (well yet anyway!). I'm about 5ft2 ad pre baby conception was just under 8stone, so i dont have much physical strength for huffing something massive and also i dont want anything that makes me look shorter if that makes sense.
Are there prams availabl that you can change the height of the handles etc. Last time i pushed a pram for my friend (for the 1st time ever) I looked like some extra from vicky pollard in little britain... look quite young for my age and im conscious of getting lots of looks and comments about being a teenage mum, even though im not, im 24 years old, married and with a good job..... oooooooooooh maybe im just being a bit hormonal over it. ive always been conscious of how old i look and this seems to have made it more of an issue.....

sorry for rambling on everyone xx

I know how you feel CAFC girl - I'm 27, married and feel much older than my years, yet look about 17!!! My mum is always telling me i'm the lucky one and when I reach my 50's I'll be pleased :D

when anyone asks about bump I start loudly talking about MY HUSBAND!!!! I'm veyr concious about it. At all my appointments so far the waiting rooms are full of women in their late 30's so I feel very young all of a sudden.

I'm sure it's just us being over sensitive and hormone monsters though :D

Afternoon all! Just dropping by.. nice to see everyone is well :)

I have a quick question, and I hope I don't upset anyone with it but I think it might have come up before and you are the ladies to ask..

My Tesco Baby Club voucher pack came through the post this morning. In the spirit of MS and also boosting my Clubcard points total, I'm thinking of going to Tesco to purchase all the bits that I can get extra points on (mostly nappies and wipes) and claim the Huggies basket, then I can stash them away for when they are needed (I'm thinking a year from now, maybe!). Does anyone know, will they let me join the club again with a new due date later this year/early next and reissue the vouchers so I get more points? Cheeky, I know, but MS nonetheless! :D

    Thanks all :)

ETA: the vouchers are only valid until 15/09 and 19/10 this year, and I most likely won't be pregnant again by then.

ETA - again: On closer reading, there is a "Baby Fair" in Tesco between 28 August and 10 September. Offers like £30 off Britax Trio Urban Slate car seat (now £69.99); £20 off Chicco Winter London Stroller (now £49.99) and the Tommy Tippee Nappy Wrapper Tub will be half price at £14.95 :D

I hope so... altough its always been an underlying issue 4 me, being pregnant probably just amplifies it in my head though :o

I am 24 with a 4 year old, but probably look about 20, as when I tell people I have a child they look at me in shock and say, oh you look too young!
Personally I couldnt give a fig what other people think, I had My son youngish, but I work and am not a chav, if people wish to turn their nose up then thats their parogotive.

Your completely right AM - isn't it amaxing though how others are so judgemental when your pregnant?

Already everyone is bombarding me with what I consider inappropriate questions......
    was it planned?
is it a boy or girl?
    will I breastfeed? etc

Now I don't mind discussing issues with close friends or family, but complete or thereabouts strangers are just rude!!!!:p
