...and then your kids get judged if they are not 'average'
My V large for his age DS was always being asked 'why is a big boy like you still in a buggy' and other little pearls of wisdom. The world and his wife think they can judge you on everything you do as soon as you have kids.

Has anyone, on their shopping travels, seen a nice maternity coat, or coat suitable for maternity?

My last two were born May and October so i've not been pregnant over winter before.

I'm going to Eurodisney at October half term. I went the same time last year and it was bl00dy freezing!! I predict i'm going to be quite huge by then.

As for superstitios (sp?) mums - mine bought my last two prams for me, but insisted they stayed in her spare room til i'd arrived home with baby!

  • Hope ur all well, just spent the past half hour catching up on ur news as i've been laid up for weeks with a bad back.
I think the baby is lying on a nerve coz I keep getting pins and needles in my legs!!
If anyone has any advice on things to help with the back pain it would be greatly appreciated, I found walking helps but I can't do that all the time or i'll be knackered, lol!

I had my 21 week scan this week and all is well, I found out I'm having a boy and am sooooo pleased.
I know you probably shudn't have a preference with regards to the sex of your first child but I did!! OH said he didn't mind so long as was healthy, but when they said it was a boy I nearly cried with happiness (hormones eh!!??)

My fathers daughter - I saw ur post about the maxi cosi, I went out and bought it after reading in the which car guide that it was the safest and I think its fab, I'm going to buy a quinny buzz in a few weeks so I can use them together. And now I can buy the midnight blue one I liked best, lol!!!
  • Hiya Ladies :hello:

Well I am all packed and ready for my jollies tomorrow. Because I have been completely lazy recently I had to spend hours today ironing and it really knocked me for six so god only knows how I am going to cope walking round vegas...I will definitely be needing a nap each afternoon that's for sure.

Take care over the next 2 weeks everyone, best of luck to those who are due imminently and hopefully I will be back before the 'celebrating christmas' babies are born :D

AF - I missed you on Thursday and Friday - hope you are well and good luck for your scan (2nd isn't it?)

Elle_Gee - nice to hear from you, hope you are doing okay. Personally I don't think I would want a load of nappies etc hanging around the house (I don't even want to buy any now!!) but I am a bit strange sometimes!!

rosies_mum - another 30 something mum here (32 next Sat!) and I am on my first! No-one bats an eyelid when I am out with DSS who is 8 so I guess I am probably going to look like an 'older mother' :rotfl:

    Love to all

I have been looking at the quinny buzz too...will have to wait until 13 October to see what colour we will be needing...because I managed to persuade hubby that we can find out what we are having :T :T :T

Did you go for the BT baby monitor that they recommended last month too? Hopefully they will do lots more baby stuff over the next 5 months or so and then I won't actually have to make any decisions at all :rotfl:

  • Still deciding whether to get a monitor or not as I live in a flat and it might make me a bit (more) neurotic everytime I hear a little sound , plus I liked the one with the touch sensor originally but read reviews that said when baby gets over 3mths old he rolls off the sensor setting the alarm off all the time  .

Anyway hope you have a fab time in Vegas, am sure you will shop lots on ur hols!

I think i need a reassuring hug....had the scariest dream last night that i had the baby early....and i think it was at my parents house totally unprepared with my mom and sister there in shock! I woke up feeling realy odd.... its only a dream but im now siting here worried.

I think my mind was def on birth etc, as ive been getting aches and pains which i assume is a good sign as baby is now becoming more engaged etc and getting ready. Wouldnt want it to happen for another two weeks though so its 38 weeks then!

Also last night-im not sure what it was exactly, but i woke up in pain and the baby was moving around but it realy hurt as this was happening....i really hope its not getting into an awkward position. Is this just because space is tight do you reckon? once baby seemed to be comfy, the pain went and i went back to sleep. The movements since have been normal and not hurting (well kicks in ribs still hurt a bit lol)......
