How are you managing withthe sickness? I had all day sickness with my 3 dd and then hyperemisis with my 4th :( I lived on salt and vinegar crips and diet lemonade for a few weeks (not at all healthy but the only things I could keep down) I used these morning sickness remedies too. I took the tea at bedtime (or you could try just a regular peppermint tea before you go to sleep). It got me through the worst of it.

    Take care hun:)

Aw Thank you, I cant stand the smell of food! Hehe, I shouldnt complain Im only 4 weeks so I should Imagine Im going to start feeling worse. Ill check out that link but I have found breathing through it helps, Im quite lucky as I work from home and its the summer hols so I dont have to go anywhere which is a blessing at the moment...:D

Not necessarily. I'm in 15th week now, and aside from a bit of travel quesiness, easily overcome by eating grapes (or sweeties:rolleyes: ) I haven't had any sickness at all but I have been utterly shattered all the time. My Mum on th eother hand was isck as a dog but full of energy and redecorating and all sorts.

    Sorry sparkle:o

I can definitely vouch for salt and vinegar crisps helping, especially disco's! That and polo's, spearmint or fruit i found really helped.
I did also try the eating something before you move out of bed but OH moaned about the noise I made eating rich tea fingers while he's trying to sleep LOL....

Flat cola is supposed to help, as well as ginger... I tried ginger but did nothing for me, cola... i didnt wait for it to go flat but that helped for a while, just found I couldnt drink more than a can in a day as my teeth felt too furry!

Travel sickness acupressure bands that fit round your wrist have been my ultimate life saver though!!

Hope everyone's sickness clears up soon and then we can all move onto the "bloomin" stage...

P.S Has anyone else's skin really gone to pot? I'm starting to resemble a spooty teenager again....

My skin is shocking too CAFCGirl - I was never very spotty as a teenager but I am making up for it now lol!

Well I hate to say it girls but this afternoon I have been 'outed' as pregnant by a cheeky booger at work! I worked from home this morning but went onto site for a meeting this afternoon. After the meeting had finished and people were starting to disperse the site manager piped up:

'So MFD have you been at the cakes or have you been doing rude things?'

I didn't know where to put myself! So I said:

'It's a bl00dy good job I HAVE been doing rude things Bob or you would really be in my bad books right now!'

Thing is...I am only 11 weeks :o to be fair I have probably gone up 2 dress sizes since he last saw me about 6 months ago but a fair bit of that was attributable to giving up smoking 5 months ago. Hubby said it is because I have stopped wearing my usual trouser suits to work and have opted for a more comfortable trousers / top / cardigan type combo!

At least I know I can't hide it! On Monday when I get my scan picture I am going to blow it up big and pin it to the wall of the conference room with a note saying 'meet bubba MFD' - at least it will stop all the quizzical looks!

My vote goes to Ribena, flat full-fat Coke and travel sickness bands. Although the first two won't help my teeth or my weight!

MFD, before the kids broke up from school, and before i'd told them, two mums came up to me in the playground and asked if I was expecting (in front of DD:mad: ). I was only 10 weeks?!?! I said "its a bloody good job I am or i'd have slapped you!" I wouldn't dare ask someone, unless It was an absolute obvious baby bump!!

However, two ladies (well known gossips), asked a friend if i was expecting, when looking back, it was probably a few hours after conception!! Maybe I had been eating too many cakes, or maybe they're just witches!?!

Anyway, i'm 14+ weeks now, and had to put an elastic band on to fasten my size 14 jeans yesterday (normally a 12), they fastened last week.

It looks like i'm facing a winter of stretchy leggings and tent combos

For any worried Dad's to be, i've just bought "From Lad to Dad" and "You're the Daddy" for my son in law, who is scared sh1tless of DD's hormones at the mo.Both books are very lighthearted, but informative and are on Amazon :D

Thanks for that, off to have a look, our SiL to be wants to be involved so these will give him a bigger part in the pregnancy, lets face it, it was him that started it. :rotfl:

As much as I feel for you with the bad skin, I'm so ruddy glad someone else is going through it as well :rotfl:
I was lucky as a teenager too and now they're out to get me!
I dont want to overwash my skin, as that will make it worse but I do find my skin is getting a tad greasy, which will mean I either live with being a spooty oik, or I buy a different face wash for a different skin type, and then in 2 months my skin will setlle down and it will be neither of the two, and face wash number 3.....

Do you think you're starting to show then MFD, or do you think its just coz he hasnt seen you in a while. I feel like my gut has got bigger but someone said its not the baby, its just your expanding in preparation:rotfl: whatever the hell that means

TBH I know I am getting bigger. I was a size 14 before I stopped smoking, a size 16 when I got pregnant and now my size 18 trousers are getting tighter :o

My waist has all but disappeared and I have been eating loads...which inevitably piles on the pounds! It's probably a combination of me getting bigger, the new clothes and the even-more-gargantuan-than-usual boobage! I am definitely expanding in preparation in all departments :rotfl:

3onitsway - lol about the slapping comment! But I know what you mean! Bl00dy good job I am baking or hubby would be dealing with tears of the non-hormonal type!!!
