Congratulations! She is lovely. And 6lb 6oz. Nice weight.

I think I've decided I want a travel system where:-

The whole carrycot comes off when it's a pram, so that when it's a pushchair, it's not so bulky.

And where the carseat clips on to it as well.

    I don't want a three wheeler.

Think I saw something that I liked like this in Mamas and Papas, but it cost a fortune!!! Dear oh dear. EDIT: Not that I can get on their website as the moment to even check this. It seems to be down at the moment.

My mum says that I will only use the pushchair 20 times in total. Not quite sure where she gets that from. Am I supposed to be locked in the house or something? I have a dog that needs walking.

She is of a time when she can't understand why we need a babyseat (umm, cos they won't let us out of the hospital without one!!). Basically she's not much help.

Bf thinks I'm stressing too much about all the stuff we need to buy. We have the money (been putting some aside each month from our wages), it's just we don't know what to buy and don't seem to have anything.

    All we have are:-

Cot and mattress (but not bedding).
    Crib (again no bedding).
    Moses basket.
A few bottles and a steriliser.
A few clothes given by a friend (but all white as we don't know the sex yet).
    A bouncy chair thingie.
    2 packs of newborn nappies.

And that's it. These are all things given to us, as we just don't know what to buy! I am stressing, aren't I? Oops.

On the plus side, my sciatica seems to have calmed down which is great as I thought I was going to stuck with it as bad as it was for the next three months. It's still there a little bit, but not half as bad as it was. I'm sure I'll continue to have good days and bad days, but at least they are not all bad!

And my bf had put a stop to my wanting a TENS machine because of my tachyicardia (sp). Knew I shouldn't have mentioned that bit to him. Damn it, it's not him who's going to be in labour!

My friend told me she is having to take these as she was feeling tired and faint at the beginning of her pregnancy.

How do you know you are low on iron? What does being low on iron do? Dim? Me?

A combination travel system is the name of what I want I think. I eventually got on the Mamas and Papas website. Somehow I don't think bf is going to let me pay £625 for a pram/pushchair (and that doesn't even include the car seat!) .

I had a blood test just over two weeks ago, id been having dizzy spells etc and very tired. You get a routine blood test for iron at about 28 weeks.

I'd never spend so much on a travel system! lol.

No, goodness me, I don't think I would either. I just have too much at work to be looking at these things! Not much good me coming on a money saving site if I then decide to spend that much on a buggy. I didn't spend that much on my first car!! (a Mini Mayfair in 2000 in case anyone's wondering :rotfl: ).

I'll just carry on looking around. The first travel system we ever looked at was the Ultima 8 in 1 from Mamas and Papas which I dismissed because it cost £545, but bf thought it was perfect. Now I'm starting to come round to his way of thinking as it pretty much has everything.

    Car seat
Pram (which is also a moses basket) - got a moses basket off my bro though
Pushchair (which is also a highchair)

And they all just fit on the frame.

The only thing it doesn't say is what age it will go up to. Oh well, another visit to Mamas and Papas might be in order.

PS. Does anyone know the difference between a MPX chassis and a X-CEL chassis?

have u tried looking for what you want in smaller shops you pay more in big name places like (babies are us) in toys r us,mothercare, mamas and papas etc.smaller shops charge less for the same thing thats in larger shops as they need your business more.alot of the time u can ask them if they can discount on the price go around a few shops and get prices for the same pram with everything u want and tell them u have a qoute from another shop thats cheaper can they beat it.

    congrats bethom shes lovely xxx
