Hi all, im new, just adding myself to the list. This is baby number two for me. Was just wondering if anyone has ever haggled at babybond for a sexing scan or 4D scan and if so what discount they got. I really want to know if im having a girl or boy!

Hi Just changing my date as ive been advised to have a c section.. Feeling a bit weird knowing what date baby will arrive but finding more positives than negatives. feels very real now tho, only 15 weeks to go!

Have recently been stressing myself over what buggy/pram/travel system/sling to buy, but today have decided to worry myself over something else.

Before I get too pregnant (26 weeks at the moment), I think I should look into hiring a TENS machine. Not altogether up to speed on what they do (except for help in labour), so just wondered if anyone could direct me to a good website that I could maybe hire one from, and if people think they are worth hiring?

EDIT: Hmm, just read that it should not be used if I have ever had a heart rhythm problem. I have had palpitations in the past (starting from when I was 6 years old but diminishing as the years have gone on). Something I should talk to the doctor about, me thinks.

Hi there, I'm new to this thread as I only discovered I was pregnant a week or so ago. Now my question is, and please don't think me a bad person for asking but, can i safely lose weight whilst pregnant? Only I've been dieting for the last couple of months and doing really well, and don't want to stop now. I've not been crash dieting, just healthy eating, more exercise etc, but I really don't want to put on loads of weight. I actually want to continue losing weight whilst obviously making sure that the baby is healthy. Does anyone know of a safe way to do this? A lot of people say you shouldn't diet at all whilst pregnant, but surely if you have over a couple of stone to lose, like I do, then you have the energy reserves in your body anyway? just to clarify, i'm not suggesting that I want to starve myself, or even close, just want to keep on slimming for as long as possible.

fawd1 I ahve a friend who successfully dieted and lost weight while pregnant. However, the best thing to do is to speak to your GP and/or midwife about this before continuing. They are best placed to advise you on this matter. congratulations on the pregnancy and loosing weight.

pollyanna I believe that boots rent tens machines out - as do some maternity units. But you are righth - best check with your midwife/gp first. Don't stress about being unsure about prams etc. I'm weeks behind you but already trying to do research and seem to go round in circles. I've decided to list what's important to me and narrow down on that
