I added myself to the list a while ago, but seem to have disappeared! Oh well, i'm back on now.

Going for my first scan Tuesday - i'm so excited, but keep dreaming about twins!!

Also feel so big with No.3. I'm only 9 weeks but my jeans don't fit me anymore. Normally a comfy size 12, but have had to move up to a 14 already. And a few people have asked me if i was expecting! How upset i'd be if i wasn't! Ha ha ha!

Has anyone else got bigger quicker with no.3 or more. A couple of people have said it pops out quicker after no.1 as your stomach muscles are already !!!!!!ed!

Anyway, I've got DS11 and DS7, so this one is a pleasant suprise!!

I went to see the mid-wife this morning only to be told to come back at 8 weeks  why they couldn't tell me that when I rang and told them how early I was I don't know!!!

I'm 6 wks today and saw the midwife last Weds at 5 wks and have another app for 8 wks. Two looooong weeks to go yet :(

3onits, I've also amended my previous list just in case! It sometimes happens when lots of list all get posted at the same time and most current one isn't used. Glad to have you back! :D

Good luck with your scan next week! :j. I too dreamt I was having twins called Maisie and Milo :rotfl:. But no, there really is only one bun in the oven! My Dad is a twin so I was so convinced this time.

I certainly have a bigger bump this time. I didn't have to move on to maternity clothes for ages with Poppy but this time already I have been hunting them back out my wardrobe!

I have to warn you that doesn't get any better (or at least didn't for me) the gap between the 12 week scan, the 16 week check and the 20 week scan seemed like several chuffing ice ages! Actually I just think the whole nine (ten) months just drags like a well, a very draggy thing tbh! ;-)

  • September baby - how kind of you to remember that we were telling DSS he was becoming a brother. We couldn't have asked a better response - he is very excited and is telling anyone who will listen that he will be the best big brother ever :A :D

I am slowly getting my head around going for an ECG and trying not to worry. My appointment is next Thursday so not too long to wait, I suppose I should be glad that they are taking me seriously and checking me out.

But my lord talk about hormones!! I have been feeling tearful this evening and Hubby just called me over for a cuddle, made me lie down with my head on his chest and said 'now you can cry for as long as you need to' - so I had a good old sob and now I feel absolutely tons better. What a sweetie :D

Anyway, I have been experiencing a fluttering heart for the last 2 or 3 weeks (pretty much since conception, maybe a few days after) so I mentioned this. MW got me in to see the doc straight away (the power of position lol).

Anyway the doc had a listen to my heart and has sent me for an ECG _pale_ has anyone else had this? He told me not to worry and said he just wants to see a baseline of my heart but it's freaked me out a bit - I really expected them to say that it was a normal thing to happen in early pregnancy.

Hi It sounds like you have been having palpitations. I have been getting these since the early stages of this pregnancy. Dr did an ECG (basically plugged me into a machine for about 30 seconds - totally painless - which gave them a printout of my heart rate). This showed that my heart rate was fine. He refered me to the cardiologist, just in case, who did another ECG, put it down to the fact that I was pregnant and that it would sort itself out. He did recommend that I keep an eye on my caffine intake - apparantly too much caffine can cause palpitations. I am still getting the palpitations but it isnt too bad and they never seem to last for more than a minute.

Fingers crossed that they dont find anything with you either.

  • sarahh112 - you don't know how good it feels to hear someone else say they have been through it and they are fine! I know it has no refelction on me but at least I know I am not the only one.

Was it the episode on E4 (tomorrow nights episode on Channel 4)? I blubbed like a baby all the way through, blamed it on being pregnant and having a streaming cold.

I do think I would have blubbed though even if I hadn't been pregnant.

If it was the Channel 4 episode you were watching - I recommend that you have a very large box of tissues for tomorrow night (it is heart breaking).

We just have to keep reminding ourselves - we are pregnant (therefore prone to crying at the slightest thing) and its NOT REAL its only a soap!

Yup, it was tomorrow's one on E4. Can't bear to watch it tomorrow night again - will have to busy myself with something else.

I txt my friend who has a three and a half month old and she told me it gets no better after you have the baby as she was roaring too!
