  • Thanks ladies - National Stats & baby centre will get me off to a good start!!!

Fritha - are you teasing me promising a good website that suggests alternatives but not giving me the link??? :D

sunday_girl - sounds like you got there in the nick of time - good luck

Mid-wife for the first time tomorrow - nervous as hell for some reason

...actually that may be down to the fact that we are telling DSS this afternoon (followed closely by ex-wife unfortunately - we can hardly ask him to keep it a secret from his mum now can we!)

Much better now thanks Keely, I've had a big old sit down with the windows open and some biscuits and I'm all recovered :-)

Er, *coughs* obviously that was a test MFD and you passed with flying colours, congratulations! *tries to look convincing* This is the website I meant :-) *Takes care to add the link this time*

my physio told me not to sway my hips or do what most mums do hands on lower back swaying back and forth or rocking the pelvis as this aggrivates sciatica and spd.
defiantly ask for a physio referal even if its only to attend a back class because thats where the physio saw me and told me to go back to her later in the day and put me on crutches and monitered me.

Found a fantastic Names website, it actually has a bit thats been completed by people who are already called that name about whether its often spelt wrong or mispronounced and whether they were teased for it.

If you search or look up a name there is a tab at the top called considering this name? and its all in there

Well I'm not, but my DD always calls her dolls and teddies Charlie or Friday so if we leave it up to her we might end up with Friday.

    Me again..lol.....

I had another growth scan yesterday, and all is well. My little one seems to have a nice round belly and was really chilled out when i went in!

My BP is slightly too high, so my meds have been increased slightly and im going for weekly BP checks now, to make sure my dose isnt too high and makes the bp drop too low instead!

Anyone else taking Iron tablets? It says on my leaflet not to have tea/coffee/milk/wholegrains for an hour or so before or after....ive just had to have orange juice and fruit tea cake for breakfast as i usually have wholegrain cereal and milk lol..... im going to have to have cereal and milk etc for lunch now! Trying to remember when to take things is begining to confuse me already!

    keely.

ps-im still shocking people when i tell them im almost 30 weeks pregnant, keep being eyed up and down!

  • Hi Keely

I'm taking iron tablets too. Was craving Soap and turned out I was anaemic (sp?)

I can't get to grips with what to take them with or when to take them but they make me very poorly. I'm taking a whole load of medicines too and with my pregnancy brain find it almost impossibke at the end of the day to know what i've taken!

    Glad your scan was o.k.

Apparently my baby has a rugby ball shaped head because it's breech  Beginning to panic about just how much it might look like E.T!!!!:D
Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet...

Are you a lot bigger or a lot smaller than what people expect? I've been told that I'm bigger than they would expect for 25 weeks (that's what the midwife said this morning anyways) and that they would keep an eye on me. Does this maybe mean that I won't go to full term or that I may have a C-Section. She asked how tall I was. Not sure if that makes a difference. I'm a shortie and bf is almost a foot taller than me!

Told the midwife my niggles about bum pain and back pain. Told me it was normal and that there was nothing to be done. She said I could raise my leg as if I am hugging it and "rock" a bit, but not to do it for too long as I may get stuck. Hmm.

Other than that, everything else fine. All bp normal and wee normal. Going to discuss birth plan at 36 weeks she said as I am having a 6 hour antenatal class at 35 weeks at the hospital. I keep wanting to say that my mum went into labour with me at 33 weeks, but I'm sure I'll just ignored and get told that she was the abnormal one, and that most pregnancies go on for a bit longer!

:o No, they dont believe i AM pregnant lol. i must cover it up well or something. All is measuring up correctly though, and had a growth scan to prove it lol.... and i used to think i had a round/fat belly to begin with-i look back at photos and wonder what the hell i worried about!!

My family/friends know ive got bigger, but even two of my friends have told me i dont look too different and only put on bump (which is nice of them, but i know ive put on weight on my bum lol!)
