Ebay is a great place for baby clothes. Type newborn bundle - there are masses of them at very silly prices - and they stay low for the first year of birth really!
Its a crime to waste money on something that will be worn barely anyway. Some bundles I have bought in the past have been outrageous. Designer wear bought off a mum who had more credit cards than sense and half the items still had the labels on!
And if you start bidding now, you'll get plenty of opportunitys before baby arrives, so losing out wont be a great issue when there are so many bargains to be had.0 -
hi all dont know if anybody has seen the free gift with a pack of huggies in sainsburys, it was on hotdeals, the website is www.goodluckmum.co.uk. you get a foldable changing mat, scatchmitts and some samples.
hope this is useful to someone0 -

Hi,
I am now 27 weeks - just starting to look for baby stuff. We decided on the Maxi-Cosi car seat as well and I have just booked it in John Lewis for £70 in oceanic? blue. It's in their clearance sale starting next Sat but they were happy for me to reserve it now. I guess it is one of last year's colours - and we don't know if we are having a boy or a girl, but I am sure a girl will be perfectly safe and happy in the blue seat as well!
Started looking at e-bay as well for other stuff - getting the finances and the wish for having everything new and shiny to match is not that easy! Glad to follow this and other threads for what people consider necessary or just silly!

Thanks for this, I will take a look at John Lewis, hopefully might get a bargin!0 -
John Lewis just called to tell me that the Maxi Cosi Cabrio fix seat I booked at the weekend has arrived so I can pick it up this weekend! Looking online they only show a small preview of their clearance goods - I found the seat in their small clearance paper brochure that I picked up in the shop but if you visit a store or phone it should be on their system..

Sadly, i doubt i will be able to get to a library this week (going away saturday for a week, and have to go to midwife for blood tests etc on friday and then do my last minute shopping for hols etc)
However ill ask my mom if she's able to get it printed, wonder how long the coupon will be available for?

Hi
Just rang John Lewis as the cheapest maxi cosi (from 0+ onwards) on line is £89.50. The guy told me it must have been something that was offered by the local store (your local store). He said my best bet was to go into the store myself and see what they had so I'm going to take a trip to Sheffield tomorrow and see if they have any bargins. (It's a big store so I'm quite hopeful).
Will let you know the outcome ;-)0
