My moneysaving tip is don't grow a bump! I'm now 26 weeks and have just started growing a bump but I still don't look pregnant! I'm steadfastly wearing maternity clothes as they're comfier which leads me to an actual money saving tip:
Peacocks maternity! I'm wearing this top atm and it's so comfy, very generous size, extremely flattering and all fo this for only £6! :-) You can get them in some stores (Peacocks' website tells you which ones) or online :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
That top is really nice! and £6 is a bargain. Found out today Primark doesnt do a maternity range. New Look do tops for around £16 each but £6 sounds alot better.
This will sound dumb but do you buy your normal clothes size?

happtytails, ive bought some items from new look, with my tops ive gone with my normal size but with me, anyhow, i have had to buy bigger bottoms, not sure that is normal, ive taken loads of different sizes and tried them on.
i bought loads of fancy wear and it still got the tag on them, gods know why bought them,i didt go out much before bump :- )
next also do some tops that are not too dear and debenhams have sometimes some in the sale
ive also bought some mat shorts from m and s for £12 and they are really comfy0 -

Basically yes, but I've found some stuff has been far too big in my normal size (although I think I'm unusual) so I've had to buy smaller, but I've made sure there's still room to grow in them!
Oh and you can get bands that cover your tummy when you first start to grow out of stuff so your normal clothes last longer :-)
Btw I have four of those Peacocks tops all in different coloursComping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

I am guessing that this is your first?
By the second one I had a pronounced bump at 12 weeks, & with no 3 I was in maternity trousers by 6 weeks
Me too, this time around (number 4) I was growing out of my regular jeans by the time I got a positive test. I was buying maternity clothes at 8 weeks and now 19 weeks I am looking like a beached whale.:A

the more ya have the bigger we get.
ebay is great also look at tops that have lycra in or are floaty u dont have to just buy maternity tops so long as it fits and is comfy.ive taken to stealing hubbys tops and trackies when im not going out anywhere.charity shops and freecycle also try asking other ppl who have just had babies.oo and car boots/jumble sales.riley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0 -

Yup! Although I'm merrily pretending my lack of bump is becuase I have stomach muscles like steel ;-) (Don't worry, I don't think I'm fooling anyone!)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0
