I had a friend who gave me loads of her old mat stuff. She's a size 16 compared to my 12 but I took them in and they're fine. Top wise, lots of the tunic style tops I bought last summer fit still despite the fact i'm due in 3 weeks.
I also got 3 pairs of black trousers in dotty p's for £3 each in the sale and 2 mat jumpers for £5 each so i've made so with those really. I'm not fussed anymore about what I look like, just as long as i'm comfy....Mus be the Mum gene coming out!
A charity shop near us does a load of mat stuff too, v. cheap and some of it looks barely worn.

Apparently i dont look like ive put much weight on (am 27 weeks)! took it as a compliment! ive actually put on just over a stone though now, and definately couldnt fit into normal clothes! I think ive just gained the bump mainly, which im glad of as i was worried as i do like my food lol.

If anyones after cheap maternity jeans- £12 in new look! stretchy and comfy-glad i got some!

Three months to go now! im in my third trimester!

ps-i get definate movements on and off all day now-some are a tad umcomfy though especially in the ribs and bladder! lol. x

By the second one I had a pronounced bump at 12 weeks, & with no 3 I was in maternity trousers by 6 weeks

Phew - am I glad to hear that! 18 weeks with second and feel huge! Was beginning to wonder if I was normal! :rotfl: Everyone I see seems to be pregnant and I felt like I was constantly comparing my bump to everyone elses! Will just relax and enjoy it. I've been surprised by how much earlier you feel the second one moving, its lovely to think its growing well. 2 weeks til my next scan, can't wait!

I've had my first scan, & had 6 days taken off my wait, now making it a December baby. S/he was very very wriggly & nearly refused to co-operate at all. Looks like I'll be having a fun New Year then

Hello girlies

Well my pregnancy has been pretty straight forward so far (gosh I hope I haven't tempted fate saying that). I'm 32 weeks and 5 days so not that long to go now. I've got low iron so I've been on supplements for quite a few weeks and I still don't feel great but it's nothing to complain about really.

I've changed my maternity leave start date to 14th July so I can have a good old rest before baby arrives. It's amazing how tired you feel isn't it.

The nursery is decorated and we've bought most essentials now. The only things I still need to buy are a cotbed (I'm busy looking on ebay for a bargin but haven't got lucky yet) and a car seat. I'm going to buy a maxi cosi as it fits the buggy (icandy apple), currently the best price in my area is £95. Quite a lot of money but I'd just prefer to buy a new one.

My friend has organised a baby shower for me in a couple of weeks so I'm looking forward to that.

I hope all your pregnancies are going well and wish everyone lots of luck with their growing bumps!!

Hi,

I am now 27 weeks - just starting to look for baby stuff. We decided on the Maxi-Cosi car seat as well and I have just booked it in John Lewis for £70 in oceanic? blue. It's in their clearance sale starting next Sat but they were happy for me to reserve it now. I guess it is one of last year's colours - and we don't know if we are having a boy or a girl, but I am sure a girl will be perfectly safe and happy in the blue seat as well!

Started looking at e-bay as well for other stuff - getting the finances and the wish for having everything new and shiny to match is not that easy! Glad to follow this and other threads for what people consider necessary or just silly!

If you ask friends with kids, most will be happy to pass on clothes and stuff. We've got loads of things that way. Also make a list of everything you want then put people down for it when they ask what you want. At least you'll know what you have to buy then!
