mine have always been cleaned and passed to thier daddy before me as with the first i needed stitchs and was so high of gas and air was convinced i was a doberman at the vets(i even barked apprently)courtney was cleaned passed to dad then to me which i prefer tbh.

i also am certain mine was a show as it looked the same as the 2 others i had in my other 2 pregnancies.

Hi. Been ttc since march 07 with absolutely no luck, we are both in our early 20s and fit and healthy. don't drink or smoke or take drugs which we know can affect fertility. we feel stuck as my period seems random from between 26 - 39 days. its very strange we end up spending a fortune on ovulaton kits which never seems to help. has anyone got any ideas. pls help we are desperate for a baby of our own,

good luck to everyone else who is ttc

my only advice is to relax and not have sex just to make a baby as that doesnt seem to work and increases stress for you both.
focus on you and your partner and your love and make love when u feel in the mood and not when a test says u should have sex.the more relaxed and less stressed about conceiving you and your partner are the more chance of concieving.good luck xxxx

    thanks

we used to try and do it on exact days to make it work but since about xmas we have destressed and tried to let nature take its course

i had been on the pill and came off it last march i was told it could take a year for fertility to come back to normal but i done know exactly all the ins and outs. jst trying to take it easy but its frustrating trying not to get upset when it doesnt happen.

iv read ppl trying different things in here but i dont what is working for ppl.

just try to be positive u dont drink or smoke or do drugs so your already doing the best for yourselfs.
i know it can take a while if you have been on the pill a long time.
i cant offer much advice as im one of those ppl that only have to mention pregnancy and it happens not so good when u dont want anymore.i have a friend who tried for a long time and as soon as they stopped actively trying they fell pregnanct and shes convinced its because they had stopped actively trying so who knows.
im sure there will be more ppl on here that can help more than me.

has anybody been to back classes?ive just been told ive got to go to one on tuesday but as its not just my back the fact i cant pull my legs apart if i do have to i cant walk for several days i was wondering if the back classes help this also or if il have to bring it up again?

    Hi honeybe

I went to a physio class about 6 weeks ago when I was about 18 weeks, due to having injured my back ages ago at Uni. The physio was sooooo helpful - giving us positions that would help give our backs a rest (or rather, when you are pregnant it is your pelvis that actually takes the brunt of it). She also said that positions that help usually for back pain may not work for pregnant ladies - so rather than sit up straight with a cushion in the small of your back, try and take the weight off your pelvis by leaning on your elbows and sticking your bum out whilst sitting! Best way to do this is sit backwards on a dining chair. Also a v good position for OH to give you a back rub :rotfl:

Another good tip (apologies if repeating something someone has already said!!) is when sleeping have 3 pillows to help you - one between your knees and ankles (so hips, knees and ankles in line), one behind you (to stop you rolling onto your back as you should try and sleep on your side if at all possible) and the third wrapped around your front (under your bump and then over your chest to hold in your expanding breasts!! - this is brill - really helped me, as in the first trimester breasts seemed to go bonkers and take over the world!!)

    Hope this helps a bit!

Just a little rant! Im really annoyed with heartburn and indigestion :o its making me feel really sick when i go to bed-im going to have to ask the gp for something that will work as i cant keep going on like this. people have been telling me gaviscon is great-but its sooooo expensive and id end up geting through loads at this rate! rennies are ok, but not totally working.

    rant over!

    keely.

Oh dear, Keely - sounds like you are having a bad day!

Apparently (and this may be complete nonsense - but give it a go!) if you raise the head of your bed by a couple of inches (using a bit of wood or something) then this helps with heartburn, as your head is higher than your feet.

I imagine that this may not help if you get swollen feet - but you never know - it mayhelp!! ;)

I have a four year ds and he's turned into a monster and just will not listen, I've just walked around the supermarket with him screaming his head off because he can't have toys etc as he was naughty and speaking rudely to us and not doing as he was told. Everyone was staring, including some stupid woman who you'd have thought had never seen a crying child before, it was really annoying, like I'd beaten my child or couldn't control him. Df's idea of sorting this out is to smack his bottom but I don't really hold with that so what am I supposed to do? Is it something that just happens when a second baby comes along, I'm 34 plus 4 today and don't feel I have the resources to deal with this. I'm tired, really grumpy, my df hasn't been able to walk for the last three weeks because of his gout, now he apparently has 'man flu' when it's the same cold I have, so everything has fallen down to me. I can't get comfortable trying to sleep and I'm really starting to feel down with the grind of it all. To cap it off I'm worried I'm going to have the same birth experience I had with ds, namely 48 hrs of labour ending in emergency c-section (he was back to back (OP) and getting distressed) and I also haemorraged and had to stay in hospital for a week with a blood transfusion. I'm measuring 37 weeks so baby is big for 34 weeks and I've lost all my positivity about controlling the birth properly and being able to deal with the pain side.

Is it just my LO or is this a general thing children go through because they feel 'threatened' by the baby? I've tried to involve my ds and tell him he's my special boy and will always be and he seemed to be looking forward to Katie's arrival but today he was saying we were treating him like a baby and he was getting extremely frustrated. Any ideas or coping strategies would be welcome, I'm just off to have a cuppa and a lie down now he's gone to bed, Thanks everyone!
