Nice to hear a few are planning to work right up to your date
Reassures me it CAN be done! Although I'm a student, I'll be giving full body massages right until my due date - my last practical assignment is two days before

Hi all, I'm a long time 'lurker' on this thread and I've just had the most bizarre 'bump' related experience that i just had to share. I was just happily queuing up in Iceland when the checkout girl commented that I look like i don't have long to go, I agreed with her and told her I had 5 weeks left. She then proceeded to squeal at the top of her voice that I looked like i only had 5 days to go and she had never seen any one so big at my stage! For the rest of the time I was queued up she kept looking at my bump, shaking her head and tutting!.
Lol, people are so rude!
I went into my HR office at work the other day to check a few things and the HR woman took one look at me and said "Good Grief!!!" with a look of shock and awe on her face. Then commented that my bump looked "all baby" so I must be having a really big one. So that freaked me out.
luckily the hospital told me baby was measuring about 6 pounds 12 so glad it's not humungous - even if the little !!!!!! is back to back. :rolleyes:2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
froofroo - I've had a similar experience at Sainsbury's. I was resting on our trolley while OH unpacked it onto the belt. The assistant looked at me and said "ooh, you're not having it are you?" (because yeah, if I was in labour Sainsbury's would clearly be the place I'd want to be) and then asked me, when I assured her I still had 6 weeks left at the time, how much I weighed!
I decided to wait in the car before I aimed a hissy fit in her direction."outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. inside of a dog, it's too dark to read" - Groucho Marx0 -

aw bless sheel, how are you feeling about the arrival of your granddaughter? I bet you are even more excited now as its getting closer.
Never thought I would say this but I miss my bump now, dont know why when i was so uncomfortable towards the end, I was like a flapping fish out of water trying to get out of bed on a morning lol
Hope everyone is well

i had the same regards the belly and gasp situations.ive been big since about 12 weeks and went to a cafe with the spd i waddle and getting up and down from a seat is an effort tbh,the lovely waitress asked how long i had i think i was around 16 weeks so i said i was 16 weeks and had a while left to which she replied "i was huge compared to her when she had her son" i felt like punching her then and thier, then she saw me walking in the street and shouted "awww ur even waddling" grrrrrr i now hate going that cafe but its the only one that doesnt smell bad to me.
my midwife thinks its a smaller baby than my other 2 but i disagree entirly i know its not what i eat as i struggle to eat much now and the baby literally stretches across my entire front its rather odd to see him all splayed out lol.riley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0 -
Hello everyone, have posted on here for a while....just wondering if anyone is planning to have or did have a home birth? I was dead against it at first (with 2 kids and 2 dogs at home already) but I'm beginning to contemplate it now. I'm 28 weeks now BTW.0

ur the same as me then.i have 2 kids and 2 cats and will defiantly be having a hospital birth to be honest just as i feel alot safer in a hospital in case of complications and the fact i dont think i could see my home in the same light again if i had a home birth.good luck with yours though huny if its what you want then go for it.riley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0 -

As this is my first baby, id prefer to go into hospital for the birthnot sure how i'd feel second time around though.
Besides, id be worried about scaring my two cats!
