anybody who has been on this thread for a long time will know that it is really 'the overdue thread' - so for all of you wanting babies to come on time you really shouldn't have joined!!!! Only joking, sending labour vibes to all those due and overdue.

LOL! How is Ben 3 kids,I read your post on the parenting thread,I hope everything works out. Also is it more scary thinking about managing four than the reality-please tell me it is,lol:rotfl:

  • hi, traveller - not long to go for you now - hope you are feeling ok. I have definitely found the tiredness hard, and managing to fit homeworks, housework, etc in. Can't leave my 5 year old alone with baby as he loves him sooo much he wants to pick him up and cuddle him all the time. I suppose the mornings are worse trying to get myself sorted whilst OH is still around to watch the 2 youngest and then trying to get packed lunches, etc sorted. (i know i should do them the night before but shattered). The washing is obviously horrendous. i have found that sometimes i have to let ben cry when i have tea to cook and things. 3kids your doing a wonderful job-I can barely keep up with everything now!I just feel fed up with my lot in all honesty at the moment. They really resent having to do anything and the 15 year old is a right pain up the jaxy to say the least!!!
I had to laugh about your 5 year old on the roof-kids!!!:rotfl:

Well I sloshed my wee all the way up to the hospital today. Nice and empty in there for a change so i asked the midwife to monitor baby for a bit while I was there as movements have slowed down a bit.

She couldn't find a heartbeat so I was panicking a bit, then she found it but much further up the bump than normal. She had a feel about and got the other midwife to feel about and they were both convinced bubba had turned breech!

So had the unexpected treat of having a scan and a peek at baby. He wasn't breech after all, just has a bony bum that they all thought felt like a head. Baby is back to back though which may account for why the heartbeat is further up the bump. Apparently back to back makes for a longer and more painful labour so I've got to get scrubbing floors or something to get him/her to move round into a better position. Eeek!

Glad it wasn't breech though, phew. Baby is about 6 pounds 12 at the moment so at least its not massive lol.

hi all, hope everyone is well
i know how you feel traveller. my 13 year old and OH are giving me stress, but got place to myself for about 24 hours which is nice, but not running round doing the housework as i used to do.

went to see doctor, as was overreacting about a pain, hormones ahh. she said the baby is well on the way to be at least 8lbs, i am only 23 weeks.last one was 8lb3.

  • Hi all, I'm a long time 'lurker' on this thread and I've just had the most bizarre 'bump' related experience that i just had to share. I was just happily queuing up in Iceland when the checkout girl commented that I look like i don't have long to go, I agreed with her and told her I had 5 weeks left. She then proceeded to squeal at the top of her voice that I looked like i only had 5 days to go and she had never seen any one so big at my stage! For the rest of the time I was queued up she kept looking at my bump, shaking her head and tutting! I was absolutely mortified! I know I am big for my dates, to the extent that I am due to be induced at 38 weeks (and still expect a good 9 pounder!). But still i didn't think I looked like a freak! What is it about being pregnant that gives complete strangers the right to comment on your size and looks?
Anyway, thanks for letting me get it off my (obviously humongous) chest, and good luck to all who are due and waiting.
