having just had my fourth child i can and having 'pooed' myself each time - i can tell you that you have no need to feel embarrassed about it. The midwifes have seen everything before. I have never shaved, having had 4 natural deliveries and it was never mentioned to me.

How's everything by the way? :o hope little one is doing well.

I'm pretty sure I didn't poo myself giving birth to my 2 daughters , but I was given an enema and my daughter thinks they don't do that anymore , is that correct? If it is why don't they give them anymore?

my mom had enema's with all of us (four of us)-they def dont do that now though. my mom said it was horrible/more embarassing then just wiping it up descreetly for you. i dont think theres a need for an enema?

Talking about pooing , i've just read my son in law's status on Facebook and he's put this...

Tom is shi**ing it even more about being present at the birth of his daughter after watching that Dawn Porter doc last night. Cheers Dawn.

    :rotfl:

Wish i'd watched that programme , didn't know it was on until I read about it here. Was it a bad birth or is he just being a wuss? :D

I just watched that dawn gets a baby thing off the internet-great programme i thought. And to be honest-i thought there'd be more bloody parts, you didnt see that much in the end! There were no bad births on the programme.

  • So sorry to hijack the thread ladies, just looking for a bit of advice/reassurance!!

I'm 32 weeks pregnant, and Beetroot has always been transverse, right up to his last scan at 27 weeks. About four days ago, there was a massive shift and I can tell now from the positition of his bum he's head down... only thing is, my bump has dropped massively and is really really low...it's always been quite high. Think this means B-Day is imminent??? I'm so scared!!!

I'd pronounce him a wuss myself but then I am a girl and I do love all of that stuff so I might have a slightly different pov to him! As Keely said I don't think they were bad births but I know when I made my dh watch it it was a bit of an eye opener!

You can still download/watch it via bbc's iplayer, there's six days left to download/watch it. If you dl it you can keep it for 30 days and it's better quality :-)

I'm kind of guessing here so if someone says something different feel free to beleive them over me! I think it doesn't necessarily mean that he's about to leap out just that he's now pointing in the right direction and engaging? That's a good thing afaik so try not to panic!

Btw I'm a Warrington girl as well *waves* hello!

  • *waves* well hello back :) small world!

I always thought I'd be really calm and organised but I'm too scared to go to the post office in case something happens, haha...just concerned that I'm only 32 weeks
