BUN-im looking at the padded thrifty i emailed the lady and she recommend this one.can i ask u do u feel safe carrying baby in a sling?can u move freely bend over etc?[/quote]
I was looking at that one and chose mine for the drawstrings for extra safety, largely because Annabeth is so small. I'm sure when she's bigger I won't need them as much. I find that the sling is comfy and secure and sort of forget she's there. If the lady recomends it I'd go for it.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
Looks like i have to give in and get myself measured for some new bras, been trying to put it off. Lets hope i can find some cheap ones that will do for now. Hate to waste money on things that i probably wont use for very long.

Last year my company closed an office and I should have been made redundant, but due to the experience of a couple of us, they offered us homeworking. We have just been informed another office is closing, but this should not be a problem for us (although there is no definate guarantee). We are looking to start ttc in August and therefore I worry if they decided a little bit after that they did want to make us redundant - where would I stand with regards to maternity pay?? I would obviously have to get another job, but I don't know how difficult that would be if I was pregnant and where would I stand with this?
Hiya,
Check out the directgov site for smp, but if you are made redundant you may be able to claim maternity allowance. http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Customers/WorkingAgeBenefits/Dev_008115.xml.html
If you search this thread and the forums for it we had some good info relatively recently about this. Re getting a new job, you cant be discriminated against and dont have to mention it.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
Just found out im preganant after trying for 3 years :T
will need to keep an eye on here now, is anyone else due beginning of November?0 -
Thanks, hoping it won't come to that, but am now aware that it might.
Obviously, if it did happen before I got pregnant, it would have a bearing on when we'd start trying.
Congrats to all those who have just given birth or found out they're pregnant!! Good luck to all0 -

argh, mandy you queuejumper you! Congrats on your new arrival :j
Congrats too to any new ttc-ers and edd-ers i've missed!
Am now 8 days over, bp still being monitored daily due to being borderline too high for risking home birth
Seeing consultant on weds to be told the risks etc if i don't go ahead with induction, but otherwise hoping to get into labour as naturally as possible so will have to be monitored daily from friday to make sure LO still ok and placenta functioning properly. Having 3rd attempt at a sweep tomorrow, fingers crossed cervix will have started to open by then as this is getting a bit ridiculous :eek:0
