Hi everyone - just adding baby Sam. He was born by elected section on Monday the 3rd March at 13.47 weight 9lb 3oz.

He really is beautiful and his big sister thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread.

lilac pixie did u use the freedom baby type of sling?
im really interested in this kind of sling and considering buying one for our 3rd baby.the baby carriers front and back were far to uncomfy and heavy for me but the slings look ideal.

Hello everyone,

Well I am still waiting for bub to arrive, only two days over due so not too bad. I have a question though, I woke up on Thursday, two days ago feeling wet (sorry TMI), went to the loo and didn't notice anything more than that. I felt a little bit leaky yesterday and today, whilst shopping in Asda I felt like my waters were going. It was more fluid than before but there hasn't been anything since really. The baby doesn't seem to be moving as much now though I have felt enough to not be worried. What do you guys think? Should I be doing anything or is it ok to sit tight and wait and see what happens? Thanks guys.

CONGRATULATIONS 3KIDS! :j So much for a small bump - Ben is a lovely weight. That was our choice of name if we had had a boy too! So glad your labour was ok and you didn't need any stitches or anything, although hope you aren't having too rough a time with the afterpains (not nice). Are you able to post any pics?

Congratulations to Ellie's mum and Alison too!

Purplegirl - sounds like things may be starting (bearing in mind I was a bit of a dimwit and didn't realise my waters had broken - in hindsight there was a slight pop but only a trickle) - good luck!!!!!!!!

Will hopefully be back on for longer tomorrow when I'm not being squawked at.

I have the coor and carry one which is great, but Annabeth is dinky so fits very well.

purplegirl you should really ring the midwife and explain about this because if it was your waters on thursday morning they only give you 72hrs at our hospital after they have gone because of infection setting in! although each time mine have gone/been ruptured manually minutes before baby was born,so i may be wrong!!! how exciting good luck

hi everyone, & congrats to all those pregnant, ttc & those who have given birth!
I have been lurking around for a while and now that I am 22+4 with my first) I thought I'd join in!
just a quick question - with babys movements, does anyone else have quiet days when the baby doesn't move around so much, followed by days when you think that at any moment the baby is trying to get out of your tummy by kicking so much?!!

yes i actually rang the cmu the other day as he hadnt moved for 14 hours and had a pain in my side to be told by a rude mw that they dont ask u to moniter babys movements at 23 weeks as if they move from the front u wont feel them.i felt a bit cross as that wasnt why i rang it was the pain then i spoke to another mw who understood and asked me to come in then just as i put fone down he starts moving and the pain went i rang back dreading the grumpy mw pickng up but was the nice1 who said as long as i was happy then she was fine wit me not coming in:D

BUN-im looking at the padded thrifty i emailed the lady and she recommend this one.can i ask u do u feel safe carrying baby in a sling?can u move freely bend over etc?
