Hi, had a 1:174 chance didn't go for amnio, but at 20 weeks scan all seemed fine so don't worry. I have heard of plenty of people who have had a "High Risk" and gone on to have a perfectly normal baby!
I think (in my case) older mums are open to a lot of scare mongering.

re amnio - I didn't have this although it was recommended as my results were 1.79 - Annabeth is fine. A friend know someone who's results were 1/7 and again no problem. Take it easy and try not to worry!

re belly button ring - my friend had a clear plastic flexible thing in to keep hers open, although not sure where you get them from.

Douggie - good luck, can't believe it's your due date already. Well done on the furniture being up!

3kids - hope you are feeling ok - sounds very like I did just beforehand. I so hope you don't have to wait much longer! I am actually feeling not too bad at the moment, although my back is still sore. Bleeding has actually stopped now but has been light unless I overdo it for the last two weeks which was better than it was with DS. I'm also not having any more, but as the sweet tooth I developed in pregnancy is still here I'm going to struggle not to go blob-wards! At least I have the pre-school run to do which is a good walk. Annabeth was weighed today and she has packed on a whole pound in a fortnight so is now 6llb 9oz!

Oh bother!

I was just about to book holiday to Caribbean when bf goes on about vaccinations.

I rang the nurse and she said I can't have any vaccinations, and that the ones recommended are tetanus and hepititus A.

She said I now have to make the decision whether to postpone going or take the risk and just be careful with what I eat as that is how hepititus is spread.

I really wanna go! Was looking forward to my nice relaxing holiday.

Has anyone else been to the Caribbean when pregnant?

I'm back!

Finally had my little boy Ozzie Joe on the 29th February, he weighed 8lb 4oz! Not bad considering I'm 4ft 10, I have no idea where I put him!

C-Section went well!

Congrats to everyone else on their little arrivals seems they're all coming at once now!

Hi Pollyanna24,

My OH is a body piercer and tattooist. He made me a belly bar from something called PTFE. It is a bit of flexible plastic that goes in the piercing, it is theaded at both ends and you put the balls from a normal bar on each end. You can buy them from various shops that sell piercing jewellery and I have seen them on ebay. In my opinion these are a rip-off and the PTFE costs about 5p :eek: If I were you I would pop into your local tattoo shop (not a nail place or anywhere else that does piercing on the side) and ask for a bit of PTFE to make a pregnancy belly bar. If they are worth their salt they will sort it out easily, plus they will be able to measure it for you so it will fit properly, some I have seen on ebay are too short. On the other hand if it is not possible for you to get some I am sure that my OH wouldn't mind sending you a bit, you'll just need two normal bell bar balls.

Still no sign of bubba yet, though I am convinced that my waters are leaking. Had midwife appointment today and she is going to call me tommorw to see how things are going. Fingers crossed.
