wotnext,
i was getting palpatations in the middle of my pregnancy, (how far gone are you?) and i went to midwifes and she checked BP ect, and said it was due to my heart having to beat alot faster to supply the baby,.. maybe this is the case with you- its quite scary though so i'd get checked out tmw just to set your mind at rest.0 -
Thanks samantham06. Not sure about your pains - it could just be that your baby is settling into position ready for labour. If you get them again and you are worried then i would ring your midwife just to check. You are right i am frustrated now - but daftly i know i am going to miss my bump when it is gone - its a license to be fat isn't it?
Wotnext - again i don't know about palpatations but it would be worth checking in with your midwife if you are worried.
I am not seeing my midwife now until i am 5 days overdue - when i will be given a sweep and a date for induction. Don't really think that we have enough appointments.:onow mum of 4!!!0 -
3 kids- i agree with you that we dont get enough appointments- and when you do have one they try and get you in and out in record breaking time!!
Hardly reasuring!!
We've been told that on the maternity ward there can be up to 12 babies per midwife- disgusting!! Bloody NHS!0 -
Hi all, this board is moving fast lol
carol9uk - i think some of us are lucky feeling baby earlier on, i felt the twins from 14 weeks! i think it comes sooner with each subsequent baby too
For those with the sickness - the best thing i ever found was 'seabands' sea sickness wrist bands, you can buy them in the chemist for about £10 or off ebay for about 3 quid! They are soo good, i literally didnt leave the house without mine, they were the only thing that helped me and worked wonders and being natural they are best for baby too
Congrats to those with the good newsColeys - ive heard many stories of women who'v been in ur situation and found a heart beat a week or so later, best wishes for whatever happens. Big hugs and sorrys to those with the not so good news, ive suffered m/c and stillbirth and it really is the worst, but time does make it hurt less.
Doobees - congrats on baby JosiahThe twins came 3 months early and i remember counting day 90 in NICU so i really can empathize with u, its just horrible having to go home without baby
My lil man was just under 2lbs at birth and has been tube fed all this time. Hes got chronic lung disease (from being on the ventilator so long) and heart defects so he still cant do the whole breathing/sucking/swallowing thing at the same time. Im just desperate to get him b/feeding as im SO sick of pumping! I hope Josiah is able to feed soon as round the clock expressing is so frustrating. My supply has dropped a few times but ive been told thats really common in this situation. What did they send you home with? an n/g tube or just a syringe type? Medela make special bottles that are meant to be really good for babies that tire easily www.medela.co.uk might help
Samantha - thats great ur wee man is measuring up good, im so relieved for you! I hope ur baby arrives nice n chubby lol. I managed to get a 'blue badge' for free parking, altho since delivery ive had to use taxis so ive been paying £16 plus per day! its scandelous! Once my mans back from abroad il be getting free lifts and parking, thank goodness0 -
Thanks for the tips for my itchy bump!
I have been out and bought some aqueous cream - fingers crossed. I was still awake at 03:30 this morning..
No signs of this baby showing her face today....:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -
Hey all,
I've has a lovely afternoon with three girly friends from school coming over for lunch. Its weird how you can fall in and out of contact with people but things are always the same when you get together.
I have been having lots of lower abdominal pain today, it was worse this morning and has eased off now. I am hoping that it is the babies head engaging, does this sound right? The pain is very low down, just below my pelvis.0 -
Yep that sounds similar to me.. The head was engaged at 34 weeks with me... and I get low down pelvic pains, they are worse when I get up for my nightime wee's.:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0

Thanks alison, I am keeping everything crossed that he is getting himself into the right position after the ECV I had on Wednesday. I wont know until Thursday if he is still head down and then i've only got 7 days to go!!! :eek:0
