hope everyone is ok. i slept better last night so today would be a good day for birth for me. Anybody feeling like things are happening?

Is anybody watching the Wright Stuff - about whether you would want to come back as the same sex. Lots of people have said that they wouldn't want to be a woman because they have to give birth. I definitely think that women have harder lives because they have to carry children and give birth - but then again i wouldn't want to be the man because I don't like being on the outside of things. Sorry to babble.

By the way - i want a birth like violet's on coronation street - how easy and quick was that.

Just read my email from Mothercare which said that 80% of babies are late. i didn't know that i thought it would be 50/50 for early/late

    Sorry silly question but

Would this mean you express the colostrum (sp) ?

    Love Alison x
Was just going to ask the same question. Surely this is valuable stuff for your baby when it arrives. Mine is here but only just got around to catching up on everything pc wise. Amelia Grace born christmas day. Few problems and a couple of days in the special unit but all ok now. Your baby will get here when its time 3KIDSNOMONEY you dont want to cause problems for yourself. My waters broke early and I had a lot of difficulties, I don't know if it was anything I did, but it wasn't fun and we nearly lost her.

Hi everyone, another day off work as DS come down with a cold.Nothing serious mind, just not wanting him going in to school and picking up something worse or indeed passing on the beginings of it to another child-if that makes sense.
3 kids, lol about violet-I know they say you don't care who's there as your in that much pain-but that was hilarious! There was that many spectators they may as well have kept the pub open!I really hope things get moving for you and anyone else overdue!
I know I will go over, but I cannot believe how quickly time has flown!I can remember like yesterday finding out I'm pregnant and being all over the place in August as though It were yesterday-now i'm 31 weeks. It has never, ever felt quick before!
I would want to come back as a woman as I too don't like to not be in the know!I'm too nosey and like to be in control, lol.I must admit though, I am slightly worried I may find this birth harder, as all my other were 3 years apart, so I kinda remembered what to expect. But with a 9 year gap-I don't know how i'll be ,lol.
:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:
  • Congrats to all the new mums, the newbies and labour vibes to those nearly at the finishing post! Just going to catch up with the last few pages as haven't checked in for a while.

    How are you feeling, 3kids?

Congrats, steff on your very precious bundle.

  • i'm just impatient - i hate waiting for anything. i feel as though i am waiting to go to the dentist to have my teeth pulled but don't know exactly when i am going to go! i'm strange i know.

traveller - at least you have got a day off - if your son is poorly stick a dvd on and relax. I tell others to do that but don't do it myself. Before you know it you will be top of the list and as impatient as me.

Coleys I am so sorry to hear your news. You have already received some excellent advice from previous posters and I think they are right - it is probably best to prepare for the worst.

When I went to the early pregnancy unit I already knew in my heart that I had lost my baby because of the heavy bleeding and stomach pains...but there was still a part of me that clung on to hope. None of the professionals actually confirmed that I had miscarried it was up to me almost to use that term. In fact they suggested that I came back in two weeks for a pregnancy test...which I didn't as I felt that I could do that in the privacy of my own home.

Just before I went to the unit I did another test which was positive...I didn't realise that the pregnancy hormones don't just disappear over night they can take a few weeks to disappear out of your system.

Big hugs to you and your partner. The men often get "forgotten" in these circumstances x

  • I've just got back from the hospital and my BP keeps going up and down - obstetrician says its low enough for me to go home but not normal:eek: also got protein in my sample.. Have to go back for assessment on Thur and then having a growth scan on monday - He said baby feels right size but wants to make sure. Cant think why BP is going up - am now on maternity leave and have never felt so relaxed - Shopping and spending money lol:p
